Hello Pats Nation all the way from North Carolina. As you can see by my username, I am a Panthers fan who as of a few weeks ago became a Pats fan as well. Full disclosure, in the past I HATED the Pats, going back to when you guys beat us in the Super Bowl in 2003, which was a hell of a shootout. That said, as time past I gained respect for the sustained success (asterisks be damned), and by the time NE was playing Atlanta in the Super Bowl I was all aboard. We still owe you guys for denying Matt Ryan and the Failcons a championship.

If you get Cam at 70-80% healthy, you'll be contending for the AFC championship without a doubt. His health is really the x-factor, and I think the main issue is his throwing shoulder. If that holds up, look out. The thing is that shoulder isn't something you'll know can hold up until you get late into the season. I will be holding my breath with cautious optimism every snap and enjoying the ride.

Like I said in the previous post, I think the main issue is his shoulder. The Panthers and Ron Rivera completely mismanaged that shoulder injury going back to 2016 when Rivera kept playing Cam in meaningless games with a torn rotator cuff.

From what I've read, the foot should be healed and Cam should be as mobile as he needs to be. My concern is the shoulder.

Cannot be more excited about Cam. Win or lose this will be a fun season. I was thinking 5-11 but now have greatly increased my expectation up to a SOLID 7-9.

Is the #1 receiver the best receiver on a team or is there more to it, such as it’s the best receiver who needs to be double teamed and is one of the primary concerns for opposing defenses.

A #1 WR is the one that opposing defenses formulate a gameplan to stop.

IE: when the Pats took away Tyreek Hill in the 2019 AFCC - Hill had 1 reception for 42 yards 0 TDs.

For decades the Pats did not require a WR1 because Brady spread the ball around so well to the best option that was open.

I think the notion of a #1 defense is mostly garbage. There’s maybe 3 or 4 weapons in the league that keep D coordinators up at night or they roll coverages too. Otherwise most coordinators can shut down one great...
