Looked up on Sportrac that Edelman is the 40th highest paid WR in the league. He was a completely unrestricted free agent and had little interest. Quincy Enunwa makes almost double him.

He'd never get it without some weird fumble return for a TD but in terms of the guys they'd never vote for... yes. Slater played an obscene game as a gunner. Honestly, he's a guy who's much better respected by coaches than pundits or media - remember when Rex Ryan just didn't even bother with a punt returner because Slater was there?

MVP could have been Gronk for that amazing catch, then there was Gilmore with the interception. Of course, some will say Brady deserved it, IMO no way. Edelman deserved the award because of his getting open and receiving the ball for first downs and total catches and yards. He deserved it.

He came in in 2009 and was immediately crowned Wes Welker II. He was a shining light (along with Brady and Faulk) in that Ravens playoff debacle. But then he just kind of fell off the radar for a few years. Then all of a sudden comes 2013 and bam, he starts on a course potentially to the Hall of Fame. All through hard work and perserverence. Good man.
