Will Damien Harris give up his #37 for Richards? I smell a locker room disaster.
Why did he play defense at all the last time he was here? But he did, alas.
Why did Slater and Edelman take defensive snaps in 2011? Are you worried that they might do so again this year because of it?
Ok, had to go find it. Start watching Richards at 5:10.Its on YouTube I'm sure. He dove at JuJu on the sideline and forced a NEP defender to jump around him thus also missing the tackle.
Right. Their punt coverage unit has been great and the punt return unit has been fine. However, when it’s not a touchback, the Patriots have allowed 30 yards per kickoff return which is in the bottom quarter of the league.

I’m ready to call you mr non sequitur.
SB LII in early Feb 2018, remember? He lacks the athleticism, unlike Troy Brown, who successfully helped on defense years earlier, to make plays on defense on a consistent basis.
I first saw this when Richards played in the Rose Bowl where the Michigan State RB, who played in the NFL, easily beat him to the edge for a TD. I was criticized for being critical of the insanely stupid second-rounder when he was, at best, a six- or seventh-rounder on most teams’ draft boards. Check in at 0.15 seconds. Richards had no chance then—like he has no chance now.
Anyone who watched him in college was critical of that pick. And rightfully so. But we just had to take this absolute stud in the second round, though. God forbid another team scooped him up.

I had the same thought, not as bad as I remember (but he had a big hand in setting up 60 yards).Keystone cops on that play.
After watching that again, not sure that's all on Richards. He still was slow to react and slipped but DMC took a horrific angle.
Um, no. You brought up something unrelated to the discussion
Slater and Edelman are both All Pros and elite athletes. Richards is welcome to marry my daughter, and I would vote for him to be President.
But an elite athlete on this rarefied stage he is not. Oranges to apples
