Not substantially. How many instances of that have we witnessed? Off the top of my head I can't think of any. What's worse, is that even if there is improvement, guys tend to regress to original form under pressure, wether it be something mental, or, for example, poor mechanics. Look at a guy like Vick. Played his entire career without ever rising above average at reading a defense. Or Jimmy G, still making three or four "rookie mistakes" a game in year 7 or 8. The list is endless
So, yeah, I think Allen could improve his football IQ marginally. But Mac is already ahead of him in that regard. That is his path to being as good as Allen or better. It was framed as an impossibility by a supposed Pats fan. It's not.
