All Dorsett and Ross can run are Nine Routes and Come backs...what average or above average CB haven't seen those routes before?? They are both Fast for nothing because of their questionable Route Running and average size. Having Gordon instead of both is a no brainer.

It sounds like it he has already served time and I hope his treatment works this time around. He could probably be reinstated after Two or For Games the most next season.

I'd rather keep Patterson who has had just 1 year in our system. Unless the coaches say he's maxed out with zero growth headroom.

For the money.....I am interested. 4.8 over two years for a guy that needs to pick up his play dramatically to get to that 2nd big contract.

I'd bring in Ross, resign Dorsett/Patterson and have them all battle it out....

Question here is the level of compensation. I'd start with a conditional 7th that could upgrade all the way to a 4th based on performance...

I believe this is the highlight video from Washington where he runs back 2-3 TD's at KR (he had 4-5 at Washington). Video also has a sweep variation ...

In the very least he could probably replace Patterson's production at WR. He also had 4-5 KO's for TD's in college....2 years younger, faster and possibly cheaper.

I like how Ross was multifaceted in college with KR, WR and even sweeps. Like Patterson...he never lived up to the hype after he was drafted. But i see your point.

Patterson was certainly an important piece for the Patriots success last season.

What I loved about Patterson, that I really didn’t know until he played here, was how tough and physical he was. And imo that was actually the character and quality of that team that won them the Super Bowl. That team wasn’t pretty at all, they banged it out. I love that.

I don’t know the exact stats/grades but when the ball was thrown to Dorsett he caught it. He ran excellent routes, and was open a lot. He was also good as a blocker just like the rest of our receivers. He’s a solid contributor who does what he’s asked, doesn’t complain, is pretty good and most importantly.. cheap and fits the system.

For a guy with his speed, I love that rather than trying to “dance” around defenders at the sign of incoming contact and risk losing momentum, he goes turbo mode and simply blasts through it to pick up extra yards.

Ross is fragile, lacks courage and runs a very limited route tree. Why on earth would bb even bother to answer his cell when Cincy calls?

Now when the Vikings call about treadwell, that is a call bb needs to answer. I think bb may be One of only two or three coaches (Payton and Reid) that can get treadwell in a system to produce.

Pass. With most of these high draft busts, good coaching doesn’t always work.

In a few games I have seen Ross was just awful.He had problems with creating separation and catching quite good passes. Ok,he is young and lost his rookie season because of injuries but I really doubt he could replace Patterson or even Dorsett's production. All I can offer for him is something around 6th roun pick.
