Joe Milton compares favorably physically to Anthony Richardson, the fourth player taken in last year’s draft. Fourth.

They both started 12 games. Here are the comparisons:

Freakin steal of the draft. It’s so obvious. He showed continual improvement. Give him a year or two of tutelage, and whatever team drafts him will have the next Josh Allen.

Are you guys not seeing the obvious?

I don't know about him being a Josh Allen. However, if he becomes a stud as a #2 to Maye (and some team will possibly part with a high draft pick for him in a couple or three years, then that would be a draft steal for drafting and developing him.

With all of the usual disclaimers considered, I thought Milton was impressive. Very strong, athletic, slow in hie reads but he can add a half second scrambling to give him more time to read, and a rocket arm. Jackson and Allen were not great throwers coming out of college and now they are MVP candidates. If Milton can learn how to throw a touch pass and fix his mechanics a bit more to improve accuracy, he could be a hell of a QB. Cam Newton with more accuracy. Maybe working on his trade behind Maye is exactly what the kid needs.
