I can't remember the last time an objectively below-average kicker got as much hype as this guy has during his career.

The first big one is that he went to high school in New Jersey!

Looking at his contract history, it reminded me he tried but failed to be a Patriot back in 2019.

This guy needs to be signed by the Jets immediately. Look at that experience, look at all the teams! He's a goldmine of information. The Steelers have parted ways with senior assistant special teams coach Derius Swinton II due to a violation of team policy, a team source confirmed to The Athletic on Friday. It is not known which team policy Swinton is said to have violated.

Swinton, 41, was hired by new Pittsburgh head coach Mike McCarthy in February. Before joining the Steelers, Swinton served as an assistant with the Los Angeles Rams, Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Chargers and, most recently, the Las Vegas Raiders. He was named Las Vegas’ interim special teams coordinator following Week 10 of the 2025 season but was not retained by new Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak.
