Yup. And Wilson & Gardner are going to want to be paid very soon. They are going to have to cut or restructure Adams to avoid that cap hit, but Rodgers will probably retire anyway, so Adams will just get cut instead. Then they'll have lost their decent pick for mostly nothing, have no QB and be back at square 1.
It's pretty clear they have to cut Adams at the end of the year, otherwise they're on the books for the rest of his contract which is $36M/year for the next two years. Since it's not guaranteed and the Raiders are taking the accelerated cap hits they can more or less walk away from Adams.
Davante Adams signed a five-year contract with the Raiders in 2022. That deal is now being transferred over to the Jets.

It also seems to me unlikely that Adams will hit the marks needed to make this a 2nd round pick.
As for the compensation, the Raiders will receive a conditional third-round pick that can become a second-round pick based on performance, according to
ESPN. The pick becomes a second if either of the following happen: Adams makes first- or second-team All-Pro, or he's on the active roster for the AFC Championship or Super Bowl.

2023 NFL All-Pro Team: See who made the roster
Best case for us is if he makes 2nd team All-Pro so he costs the Jete a 2nd round pick. I really doubt it. He'd have to end up being widely viewed as the sixth best WR in the league against some really great players. Da Jete have a tough schedule and their OL sucks so it's going to be hard for him to shine. Overall, I'm OK with the Jete doing well enough to get Adams that award. There's no way I see them being in the AFC Championship.
But then we get into the Ahole factor. We don't know if this is his last year, and if it isn't, he's gonna push for the Jets to not screw over his buddy Adams. My guess is they'll cut him and offer him something better than what Lazard is getting. If so, great, the Jete will have big contracts on two WRs above age 30 and a QB at age 43.
As usual, I can't see how this works out well for da Jete. If he does well he helps himself out at the expense of da Jete. If he doesn't do well, he's pretty mouthy and the NY media will be happy to broadcast his complaints.
