Yep. The only way Revis reworks his contract is if it benefits him. He's never been one to help his team out. Hell, how many times did he force the jets to redo contracts that he had already agreed to?

Far fewer times than teams have forced players to redo contracts that they'd already agreed to.

That means they'd have to go 4-4 the rest of the way, which is plausible. Their remaining schedule is pretty light except for two games with the Patriots. But going 4-4 should give their pathetic fans sufficient false hope for 2017.

We need to watch our language here, lest we give them too much credit. The Jets have never won an NFL championship. Ever. They got to the Super Bowl without having to play a single NFL team in the regular season or playoffs. If they had, the Colts would have undoubtedly taken them more seriously, had a plan for attacking their defense, and whipped their butts.
