Want a good laugh?

I guess the good news for Jets fans is that picking ManJudas as HC of the NYJ makes some of these moves look good in comparison

I happen to think their last pick turned into a good player - shame on the Jets for giving up on him!

"Everyone said that Marino would be the pick if he was still on the board when we came up... obviously the team must know something about this other kid that we dont!"

Bwwwwwwhahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahaha!!!

(In all fairness though, the Pats did take Tony Eason ahead of Marino in that draft )

BTW: Did anyone else know that both Tom Brady AND Adalius Thomas were taken in the 6th round of the 2000 draft? I never knew that. Pretty Cool.

Old stuff, but still funny.

I was looking at my Pro Football Weekly 2000 Draft guide just the night before last.

I did have Brady with a penciled 5p by his name, which meant "patriots to pick in 5th round". Pro Football Weekly did have him ranked as the #6 QB in that class with a 5.09 grade (meaning he had a 50-50 chance ot make a roster.)

I also had AD as 4p ( Patriots 4th round). Pro Football Weekly had him ranked #58 overall and going in the second round as a DE. They said that he could have gone in the first round if he took on blockers better and didn't take off plays.

One thing I had forgotten is that AD played as a 5th year senior and was in grad school.

Freeman McNeil wasn't a bad pick at all. What did they expect? A Hall of Famer? He had a few good years.

But the Blair Thomas pick was horrific. Not because Thomas was a bad player. He was an amazing player, but he had had two ACL tears in college, and when he came back in his senior year, he had lost a step. It's like the Jets scouted him by looking at his junior year videotapes. The Blair Thomas from his junior year deserved to be the #1 pick of the draft. The one from his senior year shouldn't have been drafted PERIOD.

Heh heh heh, i love how we get to sign Kyle Brady through free agency in the end too, Jets = SUCKAS!
