Jeremy Fowler said the Patriots won't try to resign Onwenu

Draft. Like I said in another thread; draft four tackles if you have to.
We've needed top talent there for years (since Wynn's Achilles) and have neglected it. Brown was a mirage.
You also need wrs.... There's too many needs and not enough picks. This has to be done over 2-3 seasons. Can't address everything in one draft that's why you need to keep some of your own guys as bridge players

we need 2 OT's, 2 QB's, 3 TE's, and 2 RB's (backup and a 3rd down) and that's just the Offense.

Douglass, Boutte, and Thornton seem more "bridge-like" to me than our tackles do. Add a FA and a pick.

Douglas is not a "bridge" guy he has a ton of talent and showed it. I personally think BB held Boutte back. Thorton is proabaly a bust unless he makes a huge step forward.

Douglas is a keeper... The other two aren't. Boutte barely saw the field. Thornton is a speed guy who can't play

And still...no rookie WRs are going to protect the QB or open holes for RBs.
Inside out.

Can someone help me out, how did Mafi look this year? I do not have any of the games recorded and did not look for him specifically while watching on TV. I would like to see at least 2 OL drafted this year.

Thanks

You need both... If teams aren't afraid of you passing they'll just stack the line
When we had a good line that didn't matter. And how hard is it to throw against a stacked box?

Is Onwenu worth $20M a year as a RG, given that we have a top rookie RG in Sow?

Great question.

Also if we use Onwenu's money to pay for a WR in FA, why not draft two tackles instead of one tackle and one WR? We are OK at drafting OL, and poor at drafting WR.

The interior OL is probably OK.

Transition tag for Onwenu is 19.7 million. Franchise tag for Henry is 12.3. Now you've got 38 million in cap room for FAs and other re-signings.
I’d like to work out a 2 year deal with HH but if not 1 for 12 isn’t terrible for a good TE. Dalton Schultz left Dallas for Houston and got a 1 year 10 mil deal. Imo HH is better than Schultz.

I'd have no problem with that.

Highly doubt they won’t even try, that’s ridiculous.

I want the Pats to keep Onwenu, but I cannot see breaking the bank for the guy. Even the best RT and RG are one of the easier spots to replace on the team. And this team has way too many needs even for the massive amount of cap space they have. You can get a RT/RG in the early mid rounds and potentially be a day one solid starter.

Last time we had a good line?

It is hard .. look at how much suckiness the pats offense had this season

Where do you think the team should spend their money? Who should the try to sign? This is no longer a prime destination. Sucky weather, sucky taxes, foxboro isn't miami

Given the prevalence of injuries, seems like depth is more important than ever. High-priced players kill your salary cap and then your team when they get injured. What's more valuable -- a really good player with a crappy backup or two pretty good players?
