JE11 - Performance next year

I watched a bunch of film on our receivers a while back. One thing Edelman did that no other could was create separation quickly. I mean he could literally create 3+ feet of space between him and the defender directly after the snap. In comparison he made Cooks, Hogan and Dorsett look sluggish (In short space emphasized).

Amendola and Mitchell were the only other two receivers who could consistently get open in short space albeit not as much as, or as well as Edelman could.

Having a healthy Edelman this year would have been insane. It would have changed they way every defense played the Pats this season. Damn Damn Damn.

Edelman is one of the few players I can think of who could come back from that injury quickly.

I think he is going to be fine. Our Defense is what needs to improve next year. The Offense will be stacked.

His short area quickness is what I'll be looking at when he comes back. He is one of the best in the business about beating defenders off the line and we know that's not going away.

I'm pretty confident he is going to come back rather strong given his workout history.

Even if he comes back a little slower, there's a possibly that he comes back wiser.
