Gilmore 28 right now right? So Gilmore will be right at the age of 30 going into 2020.
Correct. Lock down JC after 2019 so potentially if Gilly's play drops in 2019 and want to cut/restructure Gilly going into 2020 when in Sept he'll be 30, they can make it happen.

He was outstanding on JuJu Smith Schuster. That's the benchmark right now which means he can hold his own and then some v top WRs

I'm not sure hes the second coming of Mike Haynes yet but the kid is playing beyond his years

Ironically BB had high praise for JuJu after that game. JC has been a very pleasant surprise this season.

In the meantime, we can reap the benefits of a JC-Gilmore tandem in 2019.

Obviously BUF is a terrible offense but this really is the defense for the rest of the year.

CBs play man, Harmon plays deep and everyone else focus on the run and short/intermediate passing game.

If they need to, they can turn Gilmore's 2019 salary (most of which they've already guaranteed anyways) into a signing bonus, which would push about $5.6M of 2019 cap into 2020 and 2021.

I'd sell my soul to for us to be able to draft DL and WRs like this too.

you can tell how it's coaching/scout strenghts...we rock CBs, suck at WRs, while other teams like steelers are so good at drafting WRs

I don’t wish injury upon anyone, but Rowe being out has allowed Jackson/Jones to get playing time and Jackson has played well.

I also think Jason McCourtey has been a solid pick up.

Agree. I'd like think JC was going to eventually supplant Rowe regardless. That pathetic performance vs JAX killed him.

Hes already proven to be superior to JMC and JJ.

we rock CBs,
With the exception of Butler, RID, Willite and Wheatley in years past, I would say they have been a lot better.

Rowe more than likely will not be a Pat.
In other news the Rookie from Cal didn't look out of place on the D line from what I got to see while disappearing to the breakroom to watch the game while at work.

JCJ is legit.

4 star Recruit from Immolalee, FL which turns out a lot of elite talent. Went to UF before getting in with some bad friends. Had good coaching there and at Maryland.

My binkie.

He will have some bumps in the road with the physicality and avoiding flags, but all the rest of what we need is there. You’ll see a similar style from Dawson if he makes it on the field. They have almost the same measurables. I guess JC is a bit taller but those height measurements are always suspect.

Relared, I posted his rating in relation past league leaders in another thread.

NFL Leader in Opponent Passer Rating (qualified):

2018: JC Jackson (33.7)
2017: AJ Bouye (31.6)
2016: Xavier Rhodes (47.0)
2015: Josh Norman (54.0)
2014: Vontae Davis (38.8)
2013: Richard Sherman (36.2)

Jackson’s played over 300 snaps so it really isn’t a sample size anomaly anymore. He’s having a fantastic rookie season & is arguably one of the 10 best rookies in the entire league.

It’s early but his metrics suggest stardom. Having two CB1s would make any potential rebuild much easier.

I'm leaning towards letting Flowers walk for anything over 12 Mill break up with Cannon Hogan walks Rowe Walks reign Jeremy Hill.
Gronk retires sad but more than likely true.
Gordon?
Maybe he gets his head on straight.

Seems like bb has great success finding defensive backs from the udfa pool, but yet when he over drafts them in the second round, he seems to misfire a ton and those rally cost us.
