James White injury

I’m so sad when I saw it…
I hope he has a speedy recovery. Hopefully we don’t rush things because of his age. Awesome guy and amazing player for this team over the years.

Brutal. One of my all time favorites and seems to be a great guy off the field as well. I am worried that is the last we (and likely anywhere else in the league) will see of James White. I would love to be wrong but a hip injury for a guy who relies on cutting and quick change of direction is about as bad as it gets.

IR in the works for White.....Who does BB bring up as replacement ?

You would think it would be JJ Taylor but he lost snaps to a special teamer yesterday so who the hell knows.

I’d like JJ & Stevenson to pick up the slack, but anybody think Duke Johnson would help?

I wouldn't mind kicking the tires. I know Carolina took a look at him after CMC pulled his hamstring.

I would be willing to give Stevenson another chance

Here’s going from bad to worse.

There is no new RB coming to the roster, they will rely on Harris, Bolden, Taylor, and Stevenson, and possibly all may be game day active. White’s spot on the 53 man roster will be taken by activating N’Keal Harry from IR.

Yeah, it does not look good.

I am hoping for a 6-8 week timeline....but expecting us to shelf him for good. He's on an one year deal....and I think we have seen the last of him in a Patriot uniform.

Sweet Feet the Hero of Houston.

Not good.
Bill needs to set his ego aside and stop putting RB's on timeouts. I hated when he did it when Tom was here. Tom is not here to make these benching's go unnoticed by most people. The Pats are like most other teams scrambling to win games.

The irony of the way RB's get treated in NE is bizarre. They are the most hit position in the league, yet if you fumble once, your azz is out of here! Miss a block? Good bye!

Looks like the next 6 weeks are crucial for his NFL future. At six weeks they will check for signs of bone death (25% chance). No question he is out for the year.

Patients in whom large hemarthroses are diagnosed on magnetic resonance images should undergo acute aspiration, and all players should be treated with a six-week regimen of toe-touch weight-bearing with use of crutches. Patients who have no sign of osteonecrosis on magnetic resonance imaging at six weeks can safely return to sports activity. Patients in whom osteonecrosis is diagnosed at six weeks are at risk for collapse and joint degeneration, and they should be advised against returning to sports.
