Honestly, the rest of the roster developing to the point where we have a chance to win a number of games that poor kicking ultimately costs us in is actually my DREAM scenario. It implies the rest of the of the roster develops pretty well and we still lose games for a higher pick. I pray that Ryland (or Slye) is high up on the list of criticism this year lol

Which games last year did KICKING cost us? Be specific. Make sure that there weren't any interceptions or fumbles or defensive breakdowns that were the ACTUAL cause.

Nick Leverett for sure is the backup, Mafi looks more like an experiment to determine his versatility and the results sound shaky.

Long snapping is a skill you either master or don’t. I remember Damien Woody couldn’t nail it down so they had to move him to guard… and he was a pro bowl player. They want to know if Mafi can slide over in case of emergency. We’ll see…

But those saying Jake is a bust or wasted draft pick because of a knee injury are being absurd. The team needed to start looking for David’s backup… that means using a draft pick. Jake was a solid pick in the 4th, a plus athlete and strong.
