Jags @ Steelers Game Thread

The Steelers are a really good team. The Pats are better but to deny that is stupid.

Steelers are a fraudulent team who are an excellent matchup for NE, especially in Foxboro.

I would expect, especially being at home for the pats to make the adjustments needed against the man to man coverage that they never had faced before against that particular team.

Presumably it would mean a cleaner game than the last one. We can' hope for gronk to go off for 200 yards in the last 18 mins again

I know we own them, but they were pretty close last time. Can't see Ben playing well enough on the road to win it though.

2016 game @ Heinz: Pats win 27-16 with Landry Jones at QB
2017 game @ Heinz: Pats win 27-24 with Big Ben at QB

The 2016 game wasn't really a blowout, even though they were starting their backup. The Steelers allowed the same number of points in each game. Had Big Ben started that game, it very well could have been another close 27-24 win for NE. Nevertheless, we know the ass whooping that took place in the rematch in Foxboro.

All things being fair and if I could "decide" the Superbowl teams I'd make it a Vinkings vs Pats matchup.

I like the idea of us against an entire state. Winning down there against a team in their own stadium.

Then again I did the same thing about wanting to win a Superbowl on the Colts field.

Got the Jags money line...who do our other degenerates have on this game?

Well let's see if the jags can make this game competitive.

When looking at this simply from the competition aspect and not putting names to faces, don’t feel too strongly one way or the other about this one.

When factoring in Mike “Trippin” Tomlin, the assaulter at QB, their dopey fans, etc its easy to pick a side.

Here’s to hoping the Jags can get in Ben’s head early. An early interception or blunder could really challenge his fragile mind the rest of the way.

Ben is 0-5 when passing for over 275 yards in the playoffs for his career, and 0-6 when attempting 34 or more passes.

I still say the Steelers win, because the Jags offense is just atrocious. They'll fail to score points or sustain drives, and that will eventually wear down their defense, too.

I get nightmares of reche caldwell and that look on his eyes.

Steelers being introduced on the field individually I see.

I hope the Jags win. Not only would it be an unfamiliar foe, but I'd love to see Pitt humbled by a team they're overlooking badly.

Normally I don't look forward to other teams playing, but I have to admit, I'm kinda looking forward to this game.

Fouts!!!???

Ugh...

Anyone want to venture a guess the total unsportsmanlike/personal foul penalties in this game.

Oh boy, can't get rid of Fouts....wonder if he'll be any better not doing a Pat game
