Yea, both Brown and Wynn's play have gone down from last year. Still not sure why they were switched. They should've switched them back when they realized it. Getting rid of Wynn isn't the answer. What happens if Brown gets injured? The OL depth has been an issue since camp and they did nothing but bring in Pizza boy for a weekend and our old friend Cannon. Not sure he's the answer.
I agree
A week ago during a game i thought about what happens if we switch wynn and brown again, i am not sure it can get much worse speaking from starting RT performance rn
I am not hearing or reading anything about it so i don’t think it will happen but wynn at rt is useless if he continues his performance

Sing it Franky……. “And now the end is near, and so I face the final curtain…..”

Brown isn‘t playing on a high Level either, on a lot of outside zone stuff you see he is too slow to get out
Strange seems like a Teams good fit for our LG spot and he is playing solid
Since MIA Brown's play has been very good.

Keep in mind he faces off against better players than Wynn.

Brown has played very well especially of late and especially since he's acclimating to a position shift. PFF currently ranks him ninth overall among all NFL tackles.

Edit: the Patriots have all but abandoned the outside zone run-blocking scheme, pretty much everything is gap blocking. They're still trying to implement it and run it here and there but it hasn't worked well.

This. Anyone who thinks that Brown hasn’t been playing at a very good to elite level since week 2

1. hasn’t been paying attention
OR
2. is a moron
OR
3. lives to vomit negativity onto his/her keyboard, even if “fact” fabrication is needed
(or perhaps all three in some cases).

Yes, Garrett beat him to the outside last week for a sack but Garrett does that to top OTs on a near-weekly basis.

So Cajuste could return from IR next week right? He seems like the natural backup plan if they're going to get rid of Wynn. although he's not anything special. Otherwise, what is the story on Steuber? Is he with the team when you're on NFI? Could he come in as a backup later this year?

Steiner is out for the year and not eligible to return.

Who is "Steiner"?

If you mean "Steuber", you're incorrect. He's on the NFI list. He can be activated after 4 games provided he is healthy.
You're confusing the NFI list with people being put on IR prior to the final cutdowns.

Sorry, autoerror got me. It is Steuber.

Yes, I thought he was placed on it before the final cutdowns?

BB acquired a mediocre left tackle and missed out on a franchise QB. Jackson would go on to win the MVP award in 2019 and has been selected to two pro bowls.
Drafting, like investing, is really easy in retrospect.

For virtually every single draft pick ever made (with some obvious exceptions like Brady) you can find another choice that both turned out better and was drafted later. So the rule is that there is almost always opportunity cost in retrospect when you can cherry pick the good players that were drafted later.

I confess I'm staggered that otherwise intelligent people believe in nonsense like "BB is only bad at picking DB's in the 2nd round" when that is so obviously just a sample size problem. I mean really folks, what possible mechanism could explain BB failing only on DB's with 2nd round picks? If you don't understand probability and statistics, it's wiser to be silent than to champion numerology.

It's the same kind of thinking that valorizes Montana for never losing a Super Bowl. Because he lost a lot early in the playoffs and never got to more than 4

Wynn at left tackle was good when he was available:

Wynn has been a good player, bordering on excellent, when available. Among tackles with at least 600 snaps last season, Wynn (641 snaps) graded out as the 10th best in football, per Pro Football Focus. In 2019, Wynn (502 snaps) was graded as the NFL's No. 31 tackle among players with at least 500 snaps.

I’m still scared that Brown could stub a toe and miss 8 weeks again.

As much as I want to move on from Wynn. Brown getting hurt could be devastating if Wynn is gone.
