Is Peyton toast?

I hated to see him come back after his neck surgery. He should have retired.

That was a real pain in the neck eh doc?

The thing is..in a league where you have teams starting tyrod taylor. A shell of manning is still a better option than most

Im even more curious to see how he does this year because it is probably his least loaded team weapons wise...he has d. Thomas and Emmanuel sanders. And thats it

Overlooking Taylor could be a mistake.

Peyton still has a noodle arm.

Yes frankly.

Your feeling was correct.

The strangest part of that game was that neither team ran any plays from inside the red zone until late in the game, and even then they didn't run many at all.

Of course Peyton had his trademark pick six to put his team behind, but Joe returned the favor later.

I saw him look stiffer bodywise than ever. He couldn't torque his body. On the rollout that he drove into the ground, you could see it was like doing a U-turn with a truck. He simply couldn't get his body around. I thought that was more telling than anything. I think his teammates need to recommend some avocado ice cream.

Peyton is a 39 year old quarterback who has had a major injury with numerous surgeries. It is pretty amazing that he has done as well as he has over the last few years.

He has never been one of my favorite players, but I hate to chortle too much about him being "done", because I know at some point in the future even we will be missing our once-in-a-lifetime QB.

Am I still the greatest - Yes - Yes - Yes ---

Manning now looks like Chad Pennington without the arm strength.

His OL struggled to protect him today. He's not used to getting pressured and hit so much. Is that due to the OL or to Manning becoming less decisive and confident in his throws? Most likely some of both.

Thursday night in KC will be very interesting.

I guess some of us, myself included, gave him too much credit. I thought he'd start to break down around mid October. His arm already looked worn down after the first quarter. Manning is done, ladies and fellas. It was a good run.

Go Chiefs!

Those defenses might end up being good but sorry that was far from a defensive battle it was an offensive suck fest.

Those defenses gave up a combined 78 points to New England in two games a year ago.

I actually hope Denver somehow lucks themselves through Arrowhead with a win. I hope Denver miraculously fumbles their way to the #2 seed.

KC is dangerous. They whipped our asses last year lol.

Not saying they could do it again, but if I don't have to find out in the playoffs, I'm cool with that.

Denver is a dead team walking. More wins they BS their way to, the better.

Although that's my head talking, which I only begrudgingly see the wisdom in.

In truth I just want to see Peyton fall off a cliff and get slaughtered all season long.

I laughed. I laughed because he had some dime throws in a row when he was able to stand tall in the pocket and deliver. Then they called the roll out and I remember it happening in slow motion in my mind. I remember having enough time to think, "This **** is going to be bad." Then he drives the damn ball into the ground, and I just burst in laughter because I thought, "Why did Denver get so carried away? They know better." They set themselves up for failure on that one. LMAO

My favorite thing about Cable Manning is those sacks he takes when the nearest rusher is like 5 yards from him. He just lays down like a dead animal, curls up, and waits for the linebackers to come up and touch him to end the play.

I would ****ing love for him to do that one play and the defenders NOT touch him. Just circle him, with a curled up, cowardly Manning laying on the ground, hugging the ball, which remains live.

Would be hilarious.

I guess KC should scare me, but they don't, frankly. They weren't the team that beat us in week 4 by week 8. We weren't the team that they beat in week 4 by week 5. They beat an overmatched HOU team today. Sorry, I don't take them seriously at this point. But hey, it's the NFL, so you never know.

Kansas City's a different team on the road.

Yes, they won a road game today, but it wasn't January and it wasn't 23 degrees out.

Rough first game for Manning.
Great first game for the Chiefs.

Thursday should be very interesting. I'm almost tempted to watch it.

Everything I seen today confirmed to me that Manning is indeed toast.

He has never been a brave QB - and despite what some might say I don't think that he is one of those QB's that keeps themselves in 'great shape'.

Don't forget that he does have a very talented WR corps - they are going to win some match-ups by themselves - but you could feel him willing those loopy rainbow passes to their target most of last night.

Teams are now sitting on the bubbles screens and the intermediate comeback routes - they are daring him to land one of those deep shots (which are a lottery - his accuracy has gone).

Once teams realize all the things he definitely can't do this year they will grind him into the dirt.

Manning is done already and its only going to get worse.

As long as he has that cannon he'll be fine.....
