Now I never said he couldn't do more. Fortunately, we didn't need to find out and unfortunately we will never know what he could do.

He showed flashes of elite play his first year. But he still was a work in progress. He was inconsistent in the playoffs that year (granted one game was in a blizzard).

In that blizzard he was great when he had to be. In the Steeler game he was injured and left the game so that can't be held against him. In the Superbowl he was great when he had to be. Defining him as being inconsistent in the playoffs, while it could be argued so by only looking on a stat sheet, it doesn't accurately describe what happened and what he did. It's his clutch performances when it mattered most that defines him. Not knowing what was to come in his career influenced what was written at the time, but we now know it was always him.

Bill Belichick is still a VERY good Head Coach and General Manager.

At 50% strength BB is still better than the majority of NFL HCs. Just look at Buffalo and the LA Chargers who have their franchise QBs and fail to get it done season after season. That would be tormenting to have an elite QB and choke their career away like Tomlin did with Big Ben.

BB has done a lot wrong. Like not having a QB ready after Brady departed. Maybe we will find out the answer someday.

Holy ****…you’re downplaying that Brady’s league leading 28 TD passes were not enough to lead the league most seasons, but no mention that his skill players were far inferior to other league leaders.

Normally, I would agree with you. But since the attacks are against me, it is fine. You didn't see the original post. The entire point of this thread was designed by Pats16N0 to bait me into fighting and get me upset. He specifically put in quotes things I have said in the past. And when he did, he couldn't handle the fact he couldn't upset me and he melted down. He tried to set a trap and the thread isn't going the way he wanted.
