Is Belichick still a great coach or did Belichick “ruin” Mac Jones?

Hey @PATS16N0, this is a lovely thread. You achieved what you wanted with it. You started it for a place for you to have your little temper tantrum and turn into a dumpster fire. Mission accomplished.
The fact that your Brady hate and revisionist history is even tolerated here is mind boggling. You should legit go join a Colts forum so you can discuss how poor, hapless, game-manager Tom Brady is a product of Belichick and “only the most accomplished quarterback ever, which doesn’t make him the best.”

You’re entirely better suited for that alternate universe, which doesn’t actually exist.

Once again a simple question was asked in the OP and Rob had to derail yet another thread with his low T beta Brady hating/Belichick ball washing/idiotic revisionist history.

And he can’t answer the question on top of it.

Brady often played the game manager role at the start of his career but only because he was asked to by the coaches, not because that's the only thing he could do.

When he was asked to drive the team down the field to win a Super Bowl vs one of the best defenses in the league in what essentially was his rookie season...he did that. QB's who are only game managers don't get asked to do that at all never mind actually accomplishing that feat.

He had IT from day one. BB and the coaches knew it. And it wasn't hard to see it.

Big time Xs and Os play right here…any decent QB makes that layup throw

Now I never said he couldn't do more. Fortunately, we didn't need to find out and unfortunately we will never know what he could do.

He showed flashes of elite play his first year. But he still was a work in progress. He was inconsistent in the playoffs that year (granted one game was in a blizzard).

All Charlie Weis. All day.

Ironically, people were praising the Patriots in 2021 as the template on how to groom a young QB. And two years later, a lot of the same people believe the Pats did everything to ruin in in 2021.
2021 was the model for how you should bring a young QB along. Then McDaniels left for Failure 2.0 and everything since is from the How to Ruin a Young QB playbook.

The fact that TB12 is great and more than a "game manager" should be even more obvious than 2+2=4 which even 1st graders can get right.

Hey look, Rob and Co, are NOT smarter than a first grader.

Did I say he was a game manager his entire career? I said was his role in 2001. Belichick only asked him to be efficient and turn over the ball his first year. Whether he could have done more is not what I said.

We do know what he can do. Ice and I have been posting video after video after video of it, you ****ing moron, and we could do this all day and all ****ing night there’s such an abundance of examples.

You’re just living in your ******ed alternate universe of Brady hate to diminish him.

And yes, I am aware defending the great Tom Brady against Colt fan delusions like Rob’s is now super taboo and frowned upon on this forum.

You might want to have someone check your blood pressure. You seem seconds away from a heart attack. You bring so much value to this board like this award winning thread that we would hate for you to die on us.

Did I say I was talking only about later in his career?

If you limit it first quarter of his starting career 2001-2006, it still is not true. What about first one-tenth of his starting career (2001-2003)? Nope, still not just a game manager. He showed up in the biggest moments. Do other "game managers" do that?

Guess pre-school might be more your thing. Might be time to take the L on this one. You could keep flogging the dead horse too....

Have you always been a low T **** or just since the Brady / Belichick split?

You bring to this board ****-takes that get proven indisputably wrong and Brady hate.
Fortunately there’s enough equally boring cretins with equally bad football takes around to give you the illusion of having friends lol

Not need rescuing from you or the idiot who says that Brady was elite from day one and if you disagree you hate Brady.... And apparently reality and facts.

You don't bother me. I think you an moronic a-hole. I don't value your opinion or care enough about you to bother me. On the other hand, you frequently lose your crap with me. And you literally ran to Ian to get my post removed from a thread just today.
See this where I depart from the "reality and facts" people that have subscribed to the Brady wasn't Tom Brady until 2004 narrative. Brady was already elite through and through with his gut, his heart and his refuse to succumb to failure. You argue with, cold, devoid of context stats. What Brady's core was made of could not be measured. Brady looked at every play as a learning opportunity to get better. He went to the film room and clicked and clicked. He went to the practice field and practiced and practiced. Yes he went to his coaches and soaked up everything he he could. He studied and studied and studied his strengths and weakness. That's what made Brady elite. That's how I'd define elite anyway.

Game Manager lol

****ing idiots.

That throw down the seem to Graham was RIPPED 40 yards on a rope. The TD pass just normal game manager stuff…backpedaling on a broken play and throwing a dart with the game on the line. All Belichick’s coaching and schemes though on both broken plays and scrambles.

Total game manager move. Johny Foxboro could do that...

Rob should have been ****ing banned years ago. Maybe nobody could see it, like they couldn’t see Mac Jones sucks, but like they can see Mac Jones sucks now, they should also be able to see Rob should be exiled to a Steeler forum where he can talk about Spygate and gAmE mAnAgEr Tom.
