I will be in Chicago for a conference on Sunday, and would prefer to watch with fellow Patriots fans. Any suggestions for good locations (restaurants/bars/etc) to watch for Pats fans?

Swing a dead fish. The sports bar that it hits first is good. I love Chicago. Truly jealous that you're going there and will have leisure time. Now, how they will treat Pats fans is a different story. I last went there in 2011.

I plan to wear my Brady jersey....

Yes, I just looked into it but I cannot make it work, unfortunatley. Believe me, I am VERY tempted...

Anyone else going to SFN in Chicago?

Downtown hotel, or convention center?

There's lots of good options anywhere, really. It would be a bit longer walk from the convention center.

The Pats home website has a link which lists bars outside of NE which have registered with them as Pats bars. Might be worth a try.

I watched a Bruins/Blackhawks playoff game here a couple of years ago and there were at least as many Bruins fans as Hawks fans. They also had a replica Stanley Cup with a B's logo on it made out of an empty (I assume) keg and tinfoil. Good spot if you don't mind it a little dark and divey. Good buy backs too.

I watched Steelers-Patriots in Chicago a few years back (Dobson's big game) but as I recall it was a 4:15 game and I had an 8:30 flight out, so I randomly located a sports bar within a mile or so of O'Hare. I've been to some others walking distance near Willis Tower (formerly Sears tower) downtown, but not any by the convention center.

My son (he's 27) has lived in Chicago for the past five years. He says there are two places, both in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Triploli Tap (more crowded) http://www.tripolitap.com/

Hidden Shamrock (more relaxed) http://www.thehiddenshamrock.com/

He won't be at either because he's traveling to Indy to go to the game!
