I've been preparing my heart for this, and today I'm sitting down and starting to watch the SuperBowl that I DVR'd. Planning on watching the game in its entirety. Have you?

i've seen highlights from it. i really thought they were going to win after the touchdown to start the second half.

Couple of positives to take away:

-pats didn't run too many 3 WR/TE sets during the regular season. everything on offense was based on Hernandez and Gronk. The offense was really out of its element in the SB without (a healthy) Gronk. Hopefully lloyd will fix that this year.

-the defense played well. they only gave up 19 points to a high powered Giants team that smoked Green Bay a few weeks ago. They should be proud.

Couple of negatives:

-Running game needs work. I was shocked Ridley dressed but didn't play.

-again i couldn't figure out why the pats refused to go no huddle for much of the game. seattle did it against the giants early in the season with great success.

Despite the loss, i really think we have set up ourselves to be a strong contender for the next 5 years. With the exception of brady and wilfork, the core of this team is fairly young. IF the patriots win 2 more super bowls, we can be proud of a team that won 5 out of 7.

The SB losses from 07 and 11 hurt, but there is a lot to look forward to. :rocker:

i dont watch any replays of any game involving the patriots unless it ends with a victory. why would anybody watch a replay of a game ending in a loss? makes no sense to me.

I would rather not watch that game again. I still can't bring myself to watch anything SB42 related. It's an automatic channel changer for me. Hell, I can't even listen to a Tom Petty song anymore...lol...:bricks:

We all know that one play could've changed the course of the game, and that they did many things right still. No need to rehash it.

I've have to be pretty drunk or bored to watch either one of those games again.

Kudos to the OP though, for facing bad moments and having the balls to re-watch it again.

I had it on my DVR and kept telling myself I'd re-watch it sooner or later. I went to Ft. Myers Beach for March to get some sun and baseball and when I returned, it was erased from my DVR. Our daughter said she came over to our house one day to check on it and while she was here went on the DVR and erased it intentionally. She told me she wanted her father to live a while longer. She's always been a good kid.
