If you saw the ESPN piece on Logan Schoenhardt, here's how you can help

Man, this kid has gone through so much in his young life... my mom was cutting onions when I saw this on ESPN.

I pray for him and his family and can only hope a miracle happens for this child to get better and healthy. Never give up!

I hate you guys for getting me to watch that...

So many people in this world are GOOD. I watched the video and I felt love.

love for Logan and his parents...and love for Tom Brady. Not the joking "man-crush" feeling we kid about, but genuine love.

If you want to feel angry and sad, just watch the news everyday. But if you want to see how much love and good there is in our world, we have to get out and be with people. You won't find it on the internet, your cell phone, laptop or television.

I normally refuse to click on these kinds of links for that very reason.

But I'm glad I clicked on this one
Thanks

If I live to normal life expectancy, I am going to have to see my daughter pass away... that story really affected me. Sometimes life is very difficult & challenging.

Donated and posted on FaceBook.

IIRC, a bunch of us also sent out cards and letters to the poor kid from Foxborough HS with a similar condition. Unfortunately, I believe that he has passed since then, but it is great to see good people from the patsfans community coming together to help out.

God bless all involved. What a heartbreaking story.

Tom will be taking this story to heart. You can count on that. Unfortunately, I bet that he's heard far too many tragic stories involving sick children since he's been here. I couldn't imagine.

Yeah, he does the Make-a-Wish camp thing every year with the Charitable Foundation, so he hears at least 2-3 stories similar to this one. I envy him. I'm with you, I don't have the temperament to hear this story from the OP, so I don't know how I'd be able to hear countless stories. Must be emotionally draining.

when he apologized to his mother for getting sick i completely lost it. all those surgeries. life can be so cruel.

Very sorry Farn.

It would be cool if the Pats let Logan call a play for the offense.

Charlie Weis did that for a kid (IIRC) when he was at ND.

If our family's contribution helps them buy a nice dinner, a cool toy or whatever makes Logan and his family happy and forget their awful situation for 5 minutes, great!

Didn't BB do that with someone who donated a ton of money to a charity? He got to be on the sideline for a few plays?

Yep. Far too many.

Thought I had read yesterday when Tom was asked about his relationship w/ Logan he said, "Its very humbling.".

So sorry, Farn.

May your family enjoy the good times and have the strength to fight through to tough ones.

As a parent myself, all I can say is my thoughts are with you and your daughter, farn.

He did. At least he called the result of a play before the game.

TD to Bennett! I'll always think of that as the Logan Schoenhardt touchdown.

I'm hopeful a certain 6-6, 265lb TE who has a penchant for running over defensive backs and being a complete goofball drops by and visits Logan for a few minutes.

NEM?

What is a slant across the middle?

I vaguely remember hearing about it. Thought it was a running play but who knows.
