I'm one of the few people around here that didn't like Welker long before he turned Judas. His year after the knee surgery (2010) is when dropping the football became an issue for him. The foot comments also showed to me he was a punk that didn't respect Belichicks message of keeping hush that week. The next year he dazzled with stats but again, dropping the ball was an issue all the way to the Superbowl. That's when the general opinion started to turn. After his drop in the AFC title game against the Ravens, and then signing with the Broncos, he was dead to everyone in Pats Nation. I took a lot of heat from my friends while Wes was here because I was anti Welker after he tore the knee. Funny how its the general consensus now.

I don't know if Welker could swallow his pride and come back next year. He will come back at some point but I don't know if the wounds on both sides will be too fresh

Welker is twice the receiver Amendola even 4 years older and in a half concussed state. If the thought that Danny Amendola is better than Wes Welker ever crosses your mind, whew, I don't know what to say. I don't even have an answer for that degree of cluelessness.
