If the Patriots go to the SB and face the Giants and win...

My reaction to the thread title

There would be no sweeter victory than winning a 6th SB against the Giants

Cmon, you know exactly what the Giants have to do with it. It's kind of a dumb thought anyway but you know what he meant
I agree with Deus, it's silly conjecture on the OP's part. I doubt the Giants "represent" unfinished business to Brady or the need for revenge. Coughlin isn't there anymore for one thing.

OP, I've thought of the same thing, only add 19-0 to the equation.

The only thing I will say is, yes Brady will keep playing as long as he wants to, and as long as he's able, but I think this discussion is interesting.

If Brady goes 19-0, and beats the Giants, or really whoever- it could even be Green Bay- in the SB, there would be no higher possible note that he could leave on.

I want Brady to play as long as possible, but would I rather see him leave on his own terms by retiring in complete perfection, or do I want to see him slowly erode in his skills and get cut by BB at age 44 after a 7-9 season?

I suppose we're all just hoping that Brady leaves on his own terms, and that it ends with us. That he doesn't have to go through what the likes of Unitas, Favre, Montana had to go through.

I know this sentiment will equal me wanting Brady to get pushed out the door, and be considered an act of treason, so I'm all ears.
So if the patriots go 19-0 it's pretty certain Brady is still the best QB and player in the league and you would, one year from now, tell him no thanks we don't want you to win #7?

Would you prefer him to retire today because he would be going out in top.

Please any other team than the giants. I don't want a possibility of obj catching the ball with his nuts.

Funny....but at the same time we shouldn't be afraid of them.

We are on to Kansas City...

Funny....but at the same time we shouldn't be afraid of them.

I wasn't afraid the last 2 times and I won't be if it happens again but let's just completely rule it out.

I hope the Patriots don't have the same fraidy cat, ****y fear of the Midgets that some here do. Ooohhh...the Giants!!! We're boned!!! Weenies afraid of a team that makes the playoffs about as often as it snows on the 4th of July in Havana. Idiotic thread...

I guess beating the Giants this season would definitely be " Coming full circle" in a way.

That said, this team is never satisfied. Minutes after winning their 5th, BB was talking about how they were behind in the offseason. What drives Brady is the
" Next" championship.

No guarantees but it looks like JG has "It". BB likely trades, cuts Brady after next season. Or TB retires. You've got to look to the future. It will be weird to possibly see TB coming to Foxboro as a Bronco in 2018. That's life.

OBJ will take them on a cruise during that week in between...so we are all good

What the hell would the Giants have to do with it?
Because they stole 2 rings from us. **** that team. Seriously. Yes Pats have 5 rings, but I will never forget the pain 2007 gave me.

That's quite evident...

Next 3 years he wins SBs against the gintz, packers, and resurgent Bears, following only 3peat in history with the only 4peat in history. Then he thinks "still 1-2 against the gintz in the SB" and signs an incentive laden multi-year deal as an oil portrait in his attic gets gray hair and wrinkles. Doctors are baffled. In a hurtful moment in 2025, Gisele is mistaken for an aunt nobody knew about. Clipboard discovered to be super-glued to the hand of the meticulously preserved Jimmy Garapolo who has been passed along the sidelines weekend-at-bernie's style since dying of regret after signing a cap friendly deal in 2018.

Discussion moves on from GOAT football player to GOAT player of any kind, to GOAT human being. Egypt constructs new pyramid in Brady's honor.

Brady continues to play with a chip in his shoulder because a blogger in Moldova says Kasparov played chess better than TFB plays football.

Remember, you heard it here first.

Completely plausible.
