Is that it? Do you think Brady calls it quits after beating those bastards? I mean honestly I'm satisfied with 5 rings. Yes obviously you want to see more rings, but not many fans can say they saw their team win 5 championships in their lifetime.

No. Tom Brady is not a fan. Championships do not have a saturation point.
Brady says he wants to play into his mid 40s. I'm not sure why people think success would make him want to stop.

Whatever Brady wants to do, I'd support.

Though with CTE being an issue, he might want to dial back on the helmet to helmet had butts.

To me any talk about 19-0 or who the Patriots will play in the Super Bowl - or what will happen after the Pats win another Lombardi Trophy in February - is a case of getting way, way too far ahead of ourselves.

Why not pump the brakes a little and just enjoy the ride.

What the hell would the Giants have to do with it?

I'd rather Brady not retire until at least 7. Put us over the edge in Lombardi count, get a 3 peat, retire as the GOAT of all major sports leagues. That'll do!

he'll stop playing when he wants to stop playing.

Good point. Wouldn't want the fans getting too ****y. It could adversely affect the performance of the professional athletes who play for the team.

OP, I've thought of the same thing, only add 19-0 to the equation.

The only thing I will say is, yes Brady will keep playing as long as he wants to, and as long as he's able, but I think this discussion is interesting.

If Brady goes 19-0, and beats the Giants, or really whoever- it could even be Green Bay- in the SB, there would be no higher possible note that he could leave on.

I want Brady to play as long as possible, but would I rather see him leave on his own terms by retiring in complete perfection, or do I want to see him slowly erode in his skills and get cut by BB at age 44 after a 7-9 season?

I suppose we're all just hoping that Brady leaves on his own terms, and that it ends with us. That he doesn't have to go through what the likes of Unitas, Favre, Montana had to go through.

I know this sentiment will equal me wanting Brady to get pushed out the door, and be considered an act of treason, so I'm all ears.

Brady is going to play until he's at least 42-43 to prove his whole TB 12 health stuff. That is going to be his entire life after football and he knows he needs to kick ass to give it some legitimacy.

getting all pumped up is part of enjoying the ride for me. I remember back in the beginning or our run, we were the ones who "were flying under the radar" and it was good for that time. However, we are never going to see something like this again, and the hype is legit (2 out of last 3, 17-2 last year) and the AFC is mostly a steaming hot pile. The Pats if healthy have no business not being in the Super Bowl, and likely win it.

Cmon, you know exactly what the Giants have to do with it. It's kind of a dumb thought anyway but you know what he meant

The Giants have nothing to do with it, and the number of rings the O.P. is happy with has nothing to do with it, either.

Who cares about them? Why do we care about them?

Is this some leftover unresolved feelings of anger, disappointment, etc from losing to them twice?

if he beats the giants, he'll want round 2 against the giants in 2018. he's a competitor.
