Yet…..I acknowledge that's what the hive is saying.
I already said he's not a two way player in the NFL. No one is.
Not saying he is or isn’t but I don’t think we’ve seen a prospect this unique since Bo Jackson and Dion Sanders. The difference is it’s not multiple sports but someone who is playing multiple positions in the same sport like a freak. As great as Sanders was as Corner and returner, he was below average at best as a wr with the Cowboys when given opportunities. Hunter has good film right out of college that he can play both cb and wr.
However, as good as it sounds, does anyone think this player is going to play out his rookie contract if he becomes a sensation? If he succeeds at both positions what does that do for contract negotiations? As far as I know, there is no max on a salary and if Dion truly is his mentor, I’m pretty sure loyalty to an NFL slave owner is not tops on his list of priorities to his protege. Coming from the ultimate mercenary himself.
I say go for it, enjoy the ride and hope for the best if he’s available. But there are things to consider if they do draft him. Amazing talent and should be electric to watch if they land him. But I’m very cautious of his long term status here.
