This weekend played out exactly as I'd hoped.

Pats win! (The obvious top priority)

But If was happy to see the Bills win too......for a couple reasons (one is not so popular)

1.) We face the winner of the Steelers/Texans (which is in my opinion is better than the Jags)
2.) IMO the Bills have a better chance of beating the Broncos (than the Steelers/Texans) which gives us more potential for a home AFC Championship game
3.) I know this will get a rousing set of 'boos' from this crowd, but if for some reason the Pats don't go to the Super Bowl, I'd actually rather see the Bills make it than the Broncos, Steelers, and Texans
I agree on everything except point #3, and I live in Buffalo! But I've been emphasizing #2 all week. Home against the Bills is better than on the road at Denver.

Why I can't I imagine the Steelers winning?? Reality??

I can't hate the Bills... they have been losers so long and we have dunked on them so many times it not like a real rivally. Their fans are okay too. Jets and their organization have been whiners at times.

I would rather face the Steelers/Texans too. Though if it is the Steelers i think fans will still complain we haven't played any REALLY good teams. To be fair LAC and Steelers were rightfully considered 2nd tier teams going into the tournament. If we beat Houston though I think no one can say anything about us not deserving to be in the AFCCG.

As for who i'd rather play... depends. I think both games be hard. Part of me wants to play Denver just cause i think it be more interesting than playing the Bills for a 3rd time this year. But I also kind of want to play home even though Allen is going to be tough to deal with. But as is should be... to make the super bowl you need to be true top contenders. There was never going to be an easy path all the way through.

I spent the first half of the dynasty on the AOLe board and the second half here. Of all the fans I've encountered the worst were Rams fans. That's why I'm pulling for Silence of the Rams III if we're fortunate enough to get there.

As for our next game, yes, Houston is good but they aren't unbeatable.

After that, Denver is a tough place, but if they have to go there they can win.

I did not want us to face Josh Allen right off the Payoffs bat. I feared the outcome that happened to Jacksonville yesterday: Allen is the QB with most experience in the AFC: he will not be an easy out. I would rather face him in AFC-CG. I'm also not opposed to going to Denver either we are UnDefeated on the ROAD!

IF a miracle happens and the Steelers win: we got the Road with the Least amount of resistance. I think Gonzo was out for that Steelers Game if my memory serves me correct.

A bit too early, but for discussion’s sake:

Denver is a tough environment due to the altitude, but as a team, they can certainly be had…as we’ve seen. Denver struggles against creative zone looks that confuse Nix. They can’t run the ball at the moment (although they may get Dobbins back). On defense they have a great pass defense but can get gashed on the ground, and are susceptible to pass catchers at RB and TE as well; our specialty. If we can block Bonitto, Allen & Cooper, we should thrive. Denver is good, but they are small in their front seven. We can beat them up in the run game & gash them with play action. I believe Dre Greenlaw is back from injury, which should benefit them. We just can’t turn the ball over against that secondary which is very good. Their OL/Payton’s knowledge & juicy fruit is the strength of the offense, as they’ve allowed the least (or second least) amount of sacks this year. Pressuring Nix is key. There is no one I fear on that offense at all pretty mediocre at best. They do have some speed with Franklin & Mims.

Are we sure we’d rather see Buffalo & Allen instead of Denver?? Denver seems kinda overrated…
