all you have to do is click the triangle in the top right of the abusive post. Then type the reason and send. It goe to Ian and he will take care of it. No need for a thread about it. Just a suggestion

Thanks Box. I had no idea.

I don't get my panties in a bundle if there's some completely idiotic post about how Doug Flutie should be starting over Brady. It's when there's a poster who is abusing another member which gets me going. Not only is it impeding other fans' 'right' to have an intelligent conversation/debate in a respectful manner, but it's giving Ian, the forum, and the website a bad name. How is it a good first impression to lurkers who want to join the site but see they might be abused for their religion by some low-life like Law-in-Order?

This is the way I think. Those who wanna complain that I am whining have a different definition of integrity. OK, I can block and ignore anybody I please, however how does that help the integrity of this board? Nothing wrong with a disagreement. Nothing wrong with a debate. Nothing wrong with agreeing to differ. Nothing wrong with thinking another opininion stinks. Everything wrong with insulting somebody's God and religious lifestyle. As far as saying "The Red Sox forum is tougher," maybe you just have a different definition of integrity. Most are aware that this board is surfed by the media. Why not put out a forum that is respected and filled with integrity? What is wrong with that goal?

I appreciate that, pats1. Law In Order is a low-brow punk, probably nothing more. There have and will be many more like him. Short of racial slurs, I just laugh at the idiotic things these schmucks have to say.

I agree there should be moderation. Threats and spam should be reported. That's what the exclamation point in the little triangle above each post is for. Click on the report a post button and type why you reported it; Ian will get the message ASAP.

That's much easier than polluting the forum by...

- posting in an OT: marked thread about how it should be in another sub-forum

- clicking on a thread which clearly has a baseball themed title, like "Manny hits HR!!!" and then posting 10 times in that thread about how the Red Sox are unworthy of our attention (coughtunescribecough)

- creating another thread that advocates either banning someone or a change in forum policy... email Ian by going to the contact us section if you don't like the Red Sox and political discussion or use the report a post option if it's a troll spamming

Nobody wants to read about how you think the forum should be run. (not directed towards you pats1, but everyone) If you feel so aggrieved... http://www.patsfans.com/contact/ ...if Ian does not feel the need to change then post on another site's forum.

Signed, Major Payne.

Or what?

A. You take your ball and go crying home to mommy.

B. You start another thread pleading with Ian to ban me as well.

What the guy said was wrong. No doubt about it. However, it was the way the high and mighties reacted to his harmless thread that set the snowball in motion. If people could just pull the cobs out of their ***es and refrain from completely ripping into someone every time there is a thread they don't like, this place would run alot smoother IMO. There really is no excuse for it. One thread does not wreck the entire forum. "Oh, but it just bumped the 75th. Tom Brady is god thread off of the first page. The perpetrator should be hung for 30 seconds, cut down and castrated then hung again for these actions!!"

hey, can someone pass ME the tringles so I can sit back and watch?

Get with the program. Haven't you ever heard of Chris Tringle?

Not complaining...but I have wondered why in my 5 years here don't moderators do some moderating?

Not too much...just reigning in the occasional trolls who come along would be fine so Ian can concentrate on bigger things.
