I can't recall many other seasons where we have had so many injuries!!!

Garin Veris, who was hot then at DE [I think]. Made you sick, though. I thought it was the last preseason game.

Thanks Ray. I was struggling to remember who the third big name that was out for the season from that game. I seem to recall Eason getting hurt early in the season too...

You're right, it was a preseason game. Damn that was A LOT of production to lose in a single preseason game....ouch. Arguably those 3 injuries were one of the reasons for the ultimate and monumental slide....

This is how i have been looking at it. The patriots were fortunate the injuries feel into a time frame when, they could get almost all of them, back in pretty good shape, and on time for the playoffs. Off this happens I'll take them against anyone anywhere.

They have done a masterful job of managing the team and games to reach the record they have and the shot at HFA. I think they'll be reach to go and will get to San Jose and win another Lombardi. At which point the football media will have no choice but to finally acknowledge that Tom Brady is actually better than Daunte Culpeper.

And Marshall Faulk will construct a learned commentary about how Daunte Culpepper could have been far better than Brady if he didn't have little baby hands. Sort of like how Kurt Warner is STILL the greatest NFL QB ever to play, because, come on. Iowa Barnstormers.

Yeah I know there are a lot of key players we don't have back yet, but I think that we might have quite a few back by the time we're in the post-season.

Now how you replace a LaAdrian Waddle, well, that's a tough one.

And another thing. Are we absolutely sure that it's a bad thing if Josh Kline is out?

Would you rather have all of these injuries or none of these injuries but Gronkowski on IR? Really makes you realize that the number of injuries doesn't matter as much as the irreplaceable guys, and we have almost all of them rearing to go.

2013 I think is still worse than this season. We've lost a lot but we are getting some back playoff time so at least during the playoffs, it won't be nearly as bad as 2013.

Oh i don't think since their run in 01 they have had a worse season...besides Brady going out...even then they went 11-5

There's a strange thing in football I see in no other sport. It's the emotional swings that seem to mitigate against having a great start, or peaking in mid season or similar. I think Belichick noticed it esrly on, except for 2007, when he was pissed. Last year, we stunk at the beginning of the season and dramatically turned it around. 2003, we struggled every game. 2001, we were as dead as could be the first couple games.

I have a good feeling this year, because we struggled hard recently, because of injuries. We're getting a lot of people back, including strengthening of our three top linebackers, who've all been coming back from illness or injury.

I hope we have solid Amedola Edelman, but we've got gronk and Martin's a good addition. I've got a feeling about Jackson, I think he's going to be more than a fill in. White's fine in his role.

If we get that passing rhythm back, I think the OLine will be fine. We simply haven't spent for 5 pro bowlers there, we've got other needs. If Brady's in rhythm, our OLine will be fine. Look at other teams, they're playing guys who shouldn't be in the league, our talents not bad. Run the ball, pass quick and they'll look like All Pros.
