I bet we see Milton against Houston

What happens if the Pats beat Houston and Milton and Maye play equally good? T-111 Thornton lights up fantasy football with 200 yards and 3 TDS since both QBs possess big arms.

Or, Milton plain flat out plays Maye.

Poor, Jacoby goes from top QB to fetching coffee and Gatorade in one fell swoop. Duncan Donuts Uber driver.

It’s such a sad state here I can’t tell if you’re serious lol.
You're right. Opinion here is so polarized, and with so many posters and posts it's difficult to keep track of where someone stands. I might start using sarcasm tags. THAT was definitely sarcasm.

He's very athletic so I could see them making him a TE.
He has no interest in being anything other than a QB he has said….so it will either be here or traded elsewhere…..tons of potential there

Now that JB is out of the way and Drake is the man, it seems that might open things up for Milton to get some playing time. While JB was the starter, it's tough to put Milton in the game for a play here or there while Drake sits. Hopefully Jabba Van Pelt thinks along those lines and draws up some good plays for Milton. We've got to knock defenses off balance, and sending Milton out there for 4-5 plays as a disruptive wild card would be brilliant.
We can only hope.

He’s already personally addressed this, he said no. Let’s stop this narrative.
It's worth asking him again down the road. I doubt he makes another NFL roster as a pure QB. "Joe, before we cut you, do you want to reconsider TE?" If he says no, he gets to play in an arena league somewhere. He's not good enough for the CFL. We can stop the narrative once he's not taking a roster spot.

Narrator: we did not.

But I don't have a desire to bring him back. That ship has sailed, taking FSBC Zappe to fairer waters. What I have said about the QB situation has been consistent since the preseason: JB needed a vet backup. Whether it was Zappe or whoever, didn't matter to me.

But now that the Patriots have decided to play Drake, there's no going back. I very much hope the Patriots don't regret the decision. If Drake stays healthy, that doesn't invalidate my position or reasoning: it just means the Pats got lucky. Let's hope the RNG gods are with us.

Absolutely correct… they can’t go back now and why would they anyway.

My suggestion was "tongue in cheek".

Starting another thread about Zappe = being a lightening rod.
