If it turns out that we're looking at legit injury to Manning, plus that line playing rather poorly PLUS the J. Thomas injury, that would make much more sense.

At this point, he reminds me of Chad Pennington

I was thinking the same thing Monday night. Pennington could throw very nice deep balls that were usually very accurate. But they were nothing that would pierce a wall. That is what Peyton's throwing now. Good, accurate deep balls --but can't drive the ball outside the numbers otherwise.

I didn't say anything about "no effect". He's got D. Thomas, Sanders, RBs, etc... Just losing 100% J. Thomas isn't sufficient to explain this level of decline.
