I’m having a hard time being excited about the future…

Completely agree on being disappointed that Mac hasn't shown growth due to Patricia.
When BB named MP to his role he gave the players an excuse and lost the ability to hold them accountable. We are seeing Bill Parcells rule that players will fail if they are given an excuse. It would feel much better if the team was playing as well as their talent allowed and Mac was growing in his role. This is just a mess. I am looking forward to BB lowering the boom on the coaching staff and the players who have not given their best, even if we lose some talent.

I’m sad but I am in full agreement with this plan.
I think you take a long look at both coordinators on the Eagles.
You look at Kellen Moore and possibly even Kliff Kingsbury if he becomes available.
We do not have a shot at Payton he wants a franchise QB in place.
I don’t hate the idea of trading multiple picks for Lamar Jackson or giving Mike White a look at.

If Zappe could improve him arm strength he has all the over tools to be a very good QB.

But in todays NFL you need that rocket arm.
I would love to give Drew Lock a fair chance in our camp.
Have to start scouting QBs in the draft.
Or see what the packers want for Love or the Niners for Lance or Purdy.
Call them with the same you can’t keep both of them.

Not trading up to secure Justin Fields has set us back.
Frank reich is as good a QB whisperer we can get.

Mac is so close to his 8th TD pass this season.......

My Pats future is without him unless he is fetching BB coffee and donuts.

it's rare that BB would go outside his trusted circle...is Reich connected to BB in some way? I agree, he would do a good job. I will assume that we will hire BOB for next year. Familiar with Mac Jones and does a decent job running an offense. He has been knocked as a run heavy coordinator, but we have a stable of RBs so we should be a run heavy offense anyway.

The thing is BB asked these men to be in thier respective roles. BB is a master at His craft, a football historian. He well knows that The offensive side of the ball is the most intricate and complex. I'm sure BB had a plan and thought that they would ultimately succeed at it.

Obviously we see it hasn't. So if he doesn't lower that coaching boom then the krafts will I'm sure implore him to do so.

This season was set up to fail going back to training camp. Players never were all in no matter what they said to the media.
The positives of this season are the rookies, Rham, and the defense.

I'll let Meyers walk he's noting special he passes better than Jones though.
I think he's got great hands and a patriots type player. I see him back on a team friendly deal

The thing is Bill wouldn't go outside the organization. He'd promote Caley if anything I'd assume. That's why it was odd when he hired schiano as defensive coordinator over his son even though he quit shortly after

Patriots are 2 offensive tackles away from stabilizing the OL...maybe just 1.

If they fix the coaching, I believe Mac can be good enough to win some games, and who knows....anything is possible with a good defense.

No direct connections that I’m aware of. He played for Ron Erhardt in 1996. He spent the middle of his coaching career under Ken Whisenhunt and Mike McCoy, two (mostly) E-P guys with second and third hand BB connections. After 2015, McCoy fired Reich (and replaced him with Whisenhunt, of course), which appears to be the end of his E-P days.

I trust that BB had his reasons to do what he did, I also trust that he will adjust to the results. As you said the players never bought in, partly because of the coaching personalities involved (my opinion). When the players knew that there were doubts outside of the locker room they had their excuse to fail.

True, the players knew judge and Patricia had no offensive pedigree. Also people forget the offense was changed was supposed to allow players to be faster in thier routes, less thinking.

That's what was sold to the players. Your right the personalities have alot to do with it.

Also to ask Patricia to call plays, offensive line coach, handle contracts.

That's alot of responsibility for one person.

Caley or somehow working it out with Saban contractually to have o'Brien return would have been my choice. This season nothing was accomplished!

There’s not really anything to work out. His contract is expiring, so he’ll be free to take any job that is offered to him either in the NFL or college.

I'm referring to last off season.. isn't he still under contract at Alabama? I mean Alabama is pretty much patriots south anyhow. However I don't blame Billy O I would not want to return unless I'm the OC.. not some made up title.

especially after yesterday.
I'll take him, Thornton and some game changing WR'S to be named! Every one else not named rahmaondre Stevenson should be expendable.

No I believe he's got a fake offensive coordinator and fake qb coach to do that already.. so mac would have to try out for the job.

welcome to what every one of what the 31 other teams went through in 20 yrs. And we havent even hit half of what worse other teams have had it. We are spoilt. 1 sub .500 season,1 playoff season, and 1 .500 season coming up. it really isnt the worst.
If we were worse at least we'd have the draft to look forward to lol

If there is a positive Meyers FA market tanked after yesterday's game. Prolly coming here at 3 years 20 million 12 guaranteed .

Possibly, however the guy has been crucial all season. At times the offense has been he and rhamondre... I would hope that one play wouldn't define all the hard work he's put in since being in the league. I see him being retained.
