HYPOTHETICAL: Do the Giants Beat NE Again Should They Make It?

Kellerman thinks the Patriots "don't run the ball that well"

Clark is weird.. he sounded like such a Pats fanboy after the Pats beat the Seahawks in 2014 and he was razzing them for cheating and spygate the previous year or two.

This is the same clown that said the Patriots have "no chance" to get to the Super Bowl after Gronk went out with his season ending injury this year. The guy is a moron who knows nothing about football.

I would never say never. Just look at the two fluke wins they got against us. But this is a vastly different Giants team. Those teams had a great pass rush, which is exactly the sort of team that we struggle against. They don't have that anymore. And Coughlin is a bit overrated, but he's certainly better than the clown the have now. Shut down Beckham and what do they really have on offense besides Eli the Turnover Machine?

I have a hard time imagining a close game. Pats 38 Giants 17. But they are getting nowhere near the Super Bowl, so it's a moot point. I will be shocked if it's not Dallas or Seattle.

No, they haven't been a good team since 2007. This will be the first time they've made the playoffs since 2011. They deserve all the credit they get for their SB wins in '07 and '11. Let this sink in: those 2 seasons aside, since 2007 they've played in one playoff game which was in 2008 and lost that game to Philadelphia at home. Finally, guys like Shank love to minimize the Patriots accomplishments by referring to the "Tomato Cans" in the AFC East. Wanna see some weak sisters? Check out the records of Dallas, Washington and Philadelphia since 2008 on.

My statement was qualified by injuries and turnovers. The point is they have always been dangerous when they are healthy and play clean, including last year when they were 6-10. You say they sucked in a year when they won a super bowl and Im sure you thought the Pats would crush them each time weve played since the first game in 2007. So, not sure your opinion on the NYG carries much weight.

Don't you guys worry about the Giants yet, our real threat is the Chiefs, that team has been to hell and back this season and it is not the same team we beat in the playoffs years back. That Chiefs team can blow the water out of the Giants team right now if they played.

Where did I say "they sucked in a year when they won the super bowl?" Oh, and by the way, qualifying a team's performance by injuries and turnovers is hilarious. How about Lincoln would have survived his night at Ford's Theatre if JW Booth was unarmed and blind that night?

You said the last time the Giants were good was 2007. Thats what you said. So, you dont think the 2011 SB champion is a good team. That makes no sense. Maybe a typo?

If it makes you feel better, I will change my statement to "talented" rather than "good". At any rate, I cant even remember the last time we played them and it didnt give me a heart attack. I'll assume that trend will continue until proven otherwise

If I wrote that, it was an error on my part, obviously, but I don't recall writing it. I'll just never understand why people like you, and you're certainly not alone, want to hide under the bed at the mere mention of a team that is inferior to the Patriots. Must be a ****ty way to exist as a fan. Everytime the Patriots begin a game, I expect them to win. While I always understand they may lose, I still expect they'll win. I prefer my way to yours but, as they say, to each his own.

Sorry ....this a troll douche post

Guys, I know NE has to play the games and this post is in no way to take for granted that they'll just waltz into the SB. Furthermore, this is in no way intended to turn into a 'Max Kellerman is an idiot thread either,' as he again uses his platform as an opportunity to attack Brady. We already know he's an idiot. This is about Clark's words on the show and the fact that I think it's legit. The Giants are the one team in the NFC, though I acknowledge any team coming out of the NFC would be tough, that scares me just because of the recent history. They just seem to always match up very well, even with the roster turnover. They have the pedigree against NE and Spags seems to develop schemes that challenge what the Pats like to do. Even the game we won in 2015 came down to the very end and what some people think was a questionable call on the Odell B. TD (I believe it was not a TD, for the record).

So here's my question: IF the Pats make it to the Dance and it's the Giants, is the third time the charm? Do we win or do the Giants do it again and take yet another one from Brady and our boys?

EDIT: Man, losing Gronk is big though. I know we got Marty. But Gronk is just the most dominant force in the league. d%#*!@t.[/QUOTE]

This team has given us trouble in various incarnations going back to 2007. Last year, a far lesser version of this team went 6-10 and we needed a miracle to beat them. This year, they have beaten the best team in the NFC twice--their only 2 losses of the year. They have a good defense, playmakers at WR and a QB that wont be intimidated. They dont always play their best, but they do against us and their best is very good. Your sunny optimism notwithstanding, it is perfectly reasonable to have a healthy measure of fear of NYG, as well as Balt, and @DEN, which i have always had over the objections of you and the rest of the rainbows and lollipops crew. Not really the same as hiding under the bed but whatever.

Pretty sure if you were so confident you wouldnt get so exercised about a differing viewpoint.

Despite your protestations to the contrary, what you've described as your feelings is the definition of hiding under the bed. Oh, and the "rainbows and lollipops crew?" It's called confidence in a team which, far more often than not and far more often than any other team in the last 15 years, has proven time-after-time that said confidence is well-placed and absolutely warranted. Don't forget to turn out the light. And don't worry, there won't big any boogie-men in Giants uniforms coming after you under the bed... Sleep tight...

I could definitely do without a sb rematch between these two, but I like our chances. Edelman stretches the offense further than Welker and our oline is pretty solid. Lastly, Dion Lewis gives us a duel threat we never had against them(can we clone him).

Interesting. Returning to the point, we are 10-10 against NYG, Balt. and @Den since 2007, which is a completely different world than our results against the rest of the league. Thats why Im supremely confident against the rest of the league, and wary about these guys.

stop cherry picking stats to fit your unbelievable paranoia.
