How do you beat Steelers

Not open for further replies.
Next Sundays game will be over by this time.

It could be, no doubt about it. But there's no way you or I could know that today. Unless you've come from the future.

What's the point of being a fan if you've given up all hope? Seriously, where's the fun in that?

He isn't a fan. Simple as that.

Yeah, those Miami and San Diego games were downright holocaustic! Awful, ugly, terrible wins!

God, what a stupid post/thread. You must be a real hit on the short bus.

The poster has probably been a Pats fan for like 5 minutes so a Nancy Boy meltdown shouldn't be a surprise.

if a suspposedly inferior 2-5 team like the browns can beat a superior 6-1 team then an inferior 6-2 team can beat a superior 6-2 steelers.

A couple of weeks ago, we played against the team with the #1 offense and the #2 defense. We had little trouble beating them. Stats mean little. And while we will not and should not be favored against PITT @ PITT, there is no reason to believe that we cannot beat them.

when...
a) you don't have a running game andyou go against #1 run defense ?
b) your QB is slowly morphing into Donovan McNabb clone, throwing off target,at receiver's feet or above their heads ?.
c) you still stink on the road ?

Umm,no.Corey Dillon made our running game respectable, hell he scored from 35 yards out. Dillon in the backfield made PA more effective.
But ,hey maybe Fred " Fragile " Taylor will be a diffrence maker.
Who says that Patriots can't lose 2 in a row playing an inferior team like Steelers ?

dillon was good but vs pitt there is really no point on running the ball much. its not going to work. BB was part of the SB 40 pregame -pitt vs seat. where he point blank said that seattle has to throw to win and "pitts will stop the run if they want to.you cant run on them" even with mvp shaun alexander.
So you cant beat the steelers with a running game . The saints last week are a prime example of passing on the steelers. it can be done .Whether we have the players for it not is another question.
Also , if you really feel they are going to lose then why do you pose this question to start the thread in the first place ?

Maybe they will gift wrap the game like SD did and make a bunch of blunders.

If not brady needs to be on point since we obvioulsy cannot run on them. We are not all that different of a team as the Saints, they threw alot and waited for Pitt to make mistakes which they did.

With such a positive attitude from the board members, why should the Pats even show up in Pittsburgh?

Seriously though, I think that the Steelers aren't as great as all the experts are saying. Big Ben looks to still be a little rusty. Their defense isn't as great as in years past. Oh and the offensive line is terrible. The only problem for the Pats will be their past defense (again) and Polamalu. Other than that, we should have a nail-biter to the very end.

You know, if this team were the 2008 Lions, I could see posts like that.

But, a 6-2 team? Really?

I will argue that this is an overrated 6-2 team. Our offense has been average since moss left.
I posted here last week that if our offense does not improve there will be a correction to our win and loss record. We will need multiple turnovers to beat the steelers on the road

I know Arrington went down on a play. Did he ever come back in? As bad as he is, I don't know if I like Butler replacing him.

Even if they're overrated, that's still a long way away from saying "They have zero chance of winning next Sunday."

by scoring more points

This thread is a dogcrap.

To answer the question on Arrington...he came back as I saw him later in the game on the field.

Sigh.....newsflash, this offense has been average since Faulk went down. Moss was not that big of a factor....sorry, it's true. Did it help? Sure, ask Percy Harvin. Did it not help? Sure, ask Brett Favre.

Brady does not feel compfortable with anyone except Faulk in blitz pick-up. That is clear.

The middle of the defense can be picked apart. Sorry, Spikes lovers....but he is soooooo slow in coverage.

What has happened to my screen game? Hello????

Pittsburgh has an aggressive d. The way to nuetralize that is to throw right at it. They blitz, you screen. They pressure - slant pass. Short, dink, dunk...killer. And guess what? We actually have the personnel to pull that off! Imagine....without Randy? Naww..... (eye roll).

The Phins should have, would have, beat the Steelers without the referees intervening on Pittzburghs behalf.

News Flash, the Patriots offense was fine in weeks 3 and 4 without Faulk.

They havent looked good in the road for awhile.I doubt we will beat the steelers.I just hope its a game going into the 4th quarter.:snob:
