Shocking that you are advocating the return of a CB that has had his last 3 seasons ended due to injury....
As for needing a CB. Be more a little more specific. Need a CB for depth or need a CB to be the #2 CB? If it's depth, of course depth is good . If it is as a #2 CB then no. People can continue to whine about Logan Ryan but he's a solid #2. Ya he has some bad games but name me a #2 CB in the league that doesn't have bad games and i'll show you a CB that is a #1
I think Justin Coleman showed something as a rookie when he didn't have a broken hand and Roberts if he picks up were the reports had him in training camp last year he could be a solid contributor this season.
Butler, Ryan, Coleman, Roberts and Brown could be a pretty solid group.
Biggers and Melvin are 50/50 to make the team.
I would add Butler's contract status to the list of concerns. That's being mighty generous in my opinion, although you may be right about Biggers as a bottom chart depth option. I don't see the odds being as good for Melvin.
This is what it comes down for me: what positions are they going to take shots on with all of those picks in the upcoming draft? One would have to think CB would be fairly high on the list with Ryan being in a contract year, along with the uncertainty of Roberts.
I would add Butler's contract status to the list of concerns.
....a major one at that.I would add Butler's contract status to the list of concerns.
I agree with the first two posts, they need a corner and foot injuries are a *****. If his foot checks out sign Brown but use at least one of the first four picks on a corner. I think we will see them double dip at both CB and RB where they use a top 100 pick on both a RB and a CB and then revisit both positions with their late picks.
With that said, when it comes to drafting BB is due to hit on a draft pick at that position.Do we really need to blow another Rd 1/2 pick on a DB? AGAIN?!?!
Do we really need to blow another Rd 1/2 pick on a DB? AGAIN?!?!
RB? Why do we want to burn an early pick on a RB? Corners are way more of a precious commodity than RB.
As far as foot injuries, Gillette's turf is not good for foot injuries.
Do we really need to blow another Rd 1/2 pick on a DB? AGAIN?!?!
Then we should sign or trade for another veteran.Eh, I wouldn't put much faith in Brown. He ends up on IR every year with foot injuries.
