Either Hightower has a really risky injury history, his position just isn't one that suits most teams, or other teams are really stupid. Probably a combination of the three.

The Jones trade in particular makes a ton of sense now. Most everyone here have long believed Hightower is more valuable to the Patriots than Jones, money aside. BB a year ahead of the game on that one as usual. Insanity that Jones got that mega-deal in comparison.

Congrats to HT and good to have him back. There was always little doubt in my mind, anyway. Even without Butler, this defense is going to be nasty next season. With Butler? It may be the finest defense Belichick has ever fielded. But I think he's gone in an attempt to try to recoup day 1-2 picks. Either way, the payday for Hightower is well deserved.
