The preposition would have been FROM (instead of with) if it were otherwise.

(Unless the Patriots joined him and resigned from the NFL....)

Meshes with what most reporters were saying. Pats offered him 10 a year; Jets offered him 12 a year. BB sweetened the offer to almost 11 a year to get the job done. Hightower used the Jets to leverage the offer, but not by as much as he'd probably hoped. Still got a potential $4-5M out of it if he plays out the whole deal. Would be very interested to know the Jets guaranteed money, if that ever comes out.
