Since the Ray Rice fiasco, teams have had a tendency to immediately release players upon assault charges. Heck, even Floyd was let go on DUI charges. In ****man jones' case, I can pretty much guarantee his career is done. An arrest in and of itself is severe enough, but this douchebag also assaulted police officers, spat on them, and resisted arrest.

"Thug" - "how many years till he's dead?" etc. Your post is a breath of fresh air recollecting that NFL players are humans who, in addition to the standard suite of human mental ailments, have also spent their formative and adult years damaging their brains.

No, this logic doesn't excuse everything. It explains some things, though - and is perhaps applicable in this situation.

Also - this serves as a reminder that the police end up with their hands on a vast majority of the nation's mental health cases at one point or another usually to the detriment of police officer safety. Not a desirable means of dealing the societal ills surrounding mental health issues, in my opinion.
