Harry to Chicago for a 7th... plus freeing up some cap space.

Will Donta be brought back???

Our gain, Chicago's loss..

Long overdue.

Worst 1st rd pick in BB tenure.

The minute Herm Edwards said Harry was going to be a good player was when I knew he was going to be a bust...

This is how other teams look at the player when Bill picks up a former 7th overall pick for a bag of peanuts.

Okay, everybody got what they wanted. So can we agree to let Ras-I Dowling enjoy the rest of his life and drop any references to him being the biggest bust in Patriots' draft history? Please?

The Patriots should add a wing to their Hall of Fame for guys who just didn't quite live up to expectations - you know, Ochocinco, Rod Rust, N'Keal Harry, Victor Kiam, Hart Lee Dykes, etc.

Anyway, glad to see Harry gets a shot some place else and the deed was done before camp opened and he "flashed" in seven-on-sevens in shorts and shells leading to excruciating heartbreak after he showed so much promise.

Belichick should barred from ever drafting another wide receiver before the 4th round.

It's nice to see that, in this time of global troubles, this time of deep divisions an all levels of society (and sport), that we can get almost 100% of Patriots fans to agree on the fact that ditching this stiff is the right move.

We may all die tomorrow, for all we know, but we'll still have had tonight.

It's very much like that story from WW1 when the Allied and German soldiers all came out of the trenches to play a soccer game on Christmas Day.

We should've traded him last year when he asked. Better late than never I guess.

Hail Mary-like catches and blocking is the only thing I can envision with Harry. I doubt he works out anywhere, but good luck to the man.
Last year probably would have been a 7th too.

Yeah he may linger in the league a while just for his blocking.

This is true. If BB drafts multiple busts, @Ian makes more money. 1) BB drafts poorly, 2) the posts on PatsFans skyrocket and 3) @Ian's ad revenue goes through the roof. Clever plan - I never realized that before - stupid me. BB does not suck at drafting WRs and CBs, Ian has jinxed BB so BB is not responsible.

Ian is playing chess while the rest of us play checkers.
The Harry forum, set up to mirror the Brady forum, will keep posters busy for years.

Are you forgetting that after his great training camp showing, he went onto the IR prior to the start of the season (9/2/19)? He didn't come back until week 10 and looked like it was too soon. Didn't he partially tear his hamstring that year?

Harry had an uphill battle from day 1.

Grandiose expectations as a NE 1st round pick at WR.
Started on PUP.
Short rookie season.
Brady froze him out year 1.
Change in QB year 2 with Cam who is a running QB.
Change in QB year 3.
As numerous WRs also taken in Harrys draft were blowing up, the Harry pick just looked worst and worst.

Ironically, Harrys best season to date was with Cam who is also mobile QB like Justin Fields. So, the possibility for things getting better for Harry in Chicago exist. 500 yards and 4 - 5 TDs would be a good season for him to build on. If Harry can pick up Chicago 1st downs moving the chains that will be his lot in life.

Could be. I think it was definitely the worst outcome compared to what could have been… though I can’t recall too many experts criticize the pick when it was made. I don’t remember the Easley pick getting good reviews when it was made then injuries did him in.

Coach Bill has taken some heat for his recent drafts. (Some of the members here believe that he has not taken ENOUGH heat)
We have to wonder what was he thinking when he made this pick?
Here’s my guess. Impressive size, speed, YAC, blocking. Talked a good game in the interview.

Either he never got the system or just didn’t want to play. Or both.

Last pick in the first round. Played 3 years, didn't get cut, got traded for a bag of balls. Was injured at least twice for extended times. Did actually play. Pick was generally well regarded when it happened.

Vs Ras I Dowling. First pick in the second round 33 vs 32 with Harry. Cut after 2 seasons, got nothging for him, played in 9 games and had 10 tackles. Pick was generally critisized when it happened.

I have always used facts with Harry, no matter what Kontra with his muddled Worchester brain thinks. Like everyone else here I was excited about him when he was picked. Dissapointed when he was injured his rookie season, but was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt when he put up crappy numbers with Cam. Finished with him when he asked to be traded.

However calling him the worst pick in Bill's career is just plain idiotic.

Ken Sims says hi!

A flyer!? They got him for nothing!!! Worst case scenario do what BB should have done ….and CUT HIM!!!
So you prefer nothing over the 7th round pick? A lot of people thought he was a steal at that spot

Or

Harry to Chicago for a 2024 7th... plus Bill paying him $1.34M to play in Chicago.

Our loss, Chicago's gain (they got him for pocket lint).
