That means if KC wins the West, and Pittsburgh beats Miami Who is starting a backup in Matt Moore, The Pats will either be facing an extremely inexperienced Tom Savage(Who I think can be very good) or Matt McGloin who is not, in my opinion, a legitimate starter.
McGloin is one of the best backup QBs in the league. Unfortunately for Oakland, that team was riding on Carr being one of the best non-backup QBs. Could see them surprising people but I doubt it.
Also, I notice people pointing to these injuries and saying this is proof the NFL is pushing an inferior product. I disagree. Injuries are a part of the game and the team that wins is often the team that makes you forget about the injured guys. Seems pretty cool to me.
Interesting to see if the donkey's will lay down for the raiders.
???McGloin is one of the best backup QBs in the league

There is 0 excuse for the Patriots not to be in the Super Bowl this year.
At this point people are going waaaay out of their way to convince themselves there's any AFC team to be "scared of". The Ravens (as flawed as they are) were the only team I'd give a legitimate shot to come to Foxboro and beat us.
I'm seriously more worried about Moore and Savage than the guys they replaced.

There is a huge possibility that we will be playing either Tom Savage's Texans or Matt McGloin's Raiders in the divisional round.
The AFC Championship game will then most likely either be against a team Brady has NEVER lost to at home or in the playoffs (the Steelers, a team he's dominated MUCH, MUCH better versions of) or the terrifying duo of Andy Reid/Alex Smith in the playoffs. The Pats should honestly be 10+ points favorites in both games.

What would possibly cause you to make this comment?McGloin is one of the best backup QBs in the league.

Doesn't matter. Real fans watch the playoffs and won't not watch because of young or backup QBs playing. And the fantasy football crowd doesn't care about the real playoffs.I'd say it's disappointing from a marketing matchup. In the playoffs you want the Brady-Manning sexy matchups. McGloin, Savage, and Moore just don't offer that, plain and simple. It's also not JUST that they are backups but they were very recently thrust into the starting role.
If a guy has been the starter since the early season like Cassel in 2011 or Prescott this year then you can rally behind them and perhaps view them as a worthy threat.
I would argue real Patriots football fans boycott all NFL products aside from watching Pats' games (hopefully on a stream). However, I've been guilty of starting to watch more again in the latter parts of this season, and sadly know I will watch some of the other playoff games.Doesn't matter.
