It's not every year you see a guy transform from back of the roster talent to a top tier specialist midseason, but that's exactly what happened. When we complained about Gunner in 2019 and early this season, it was a different player.

Amazing to see Gunner turn it around. A lot of us didn't think the Patriots should keep him around. Kind of like the takes on Edelman back in the day.

Yep. Although he had enough practice punting the football during each game, so it was a no-brainer pick. Congrats to Gunner. After a rough start to the year, he really turned it around as a returner. Hopefully his career follows the same trajectory as Edelman’s did.
