Gronk's Heir Apparent

You keep saying this with literally no history to go on that shows this would be likely.
He wasnt a broke out player or the defacto starting tightend he could of been a thow in.
When San Fran called for a QB if Belichick said I want Kittle as well they would of done it

Figured you're new... don't get me started on Kittle and GM BB. We should have had the inside track on Kittle based on connections nuff said.

"Fun" fact: despite those connections, Belichick has drafted exactly one player from Iowa, and that was in the sui generis 2007 class, G Mike Elgin.

You obviously liked the guy before the draft so now you've convinced yourself he would be available. But Kyle Shanahan named him the starting TE at the beginning of his rookie season, and he proceeded to catch the 2nd most passes on the team, and had 30 more targets than TE Garrett Celek. You're going to have to show a real, sensible, logical reason for why the 49ers would trade him.

This won't help. :p

Gronk will probably not go down as the greatest TE of all time because I do not believe he will have the longevity. However, I will say this.... I can't think of a single TE I would rather have than Gronk in his prime. This is not a man who will be quickly, conveniently replaced.

We don't have to replace Gronk though. Just the position. And fortunately there's a good class coming up.

Seems like the league is filled with these hybrid types that can do a little of everything. Love to see as get one or two & keep 87 while saying goodbye to Allen.

Turns out it was Jordan Richards. o_O

I love the notion that teams will just hang over good players to the mighty Patriots because we’re the Patriots. While it may happen sometimes it’s usually because they’re a dink. Kittle so far doesn’t seem dinkish.

Instead of continuing on this tack, consider the situation this way:

Bill could have - and should have, as anyone who visited the Draft Forum can attest - drafted Kittle with the pick used to acquire the "services" of Dwayne Allen.

Knowing that should make you plenty frustrated enough...I know it does me.
