Gronk needs an off-season chaperone

Much ado about NOTHING.

First and foremost, he had his RIGHT ARM around the other guys head when he fell backwards. The left arm wasn't even a part of the move.

Seriously, people.

"In the video posted on TMZ.com, Gronkowski is shown slamming one of his acquaintances to the ground in a WWE-like wresting move, which causes his broken left forearm, which is still wrapped in a cast, to bounce off the stage."

I think this is the key sentence though, you did it in high school. A time period where most of us make stupid decisions because we don't know any better.

i don't think gronk will ever leave HS mode..just who he is

a Kurgan reference....great job, Frezo..remember in the car with the old lady "Hi, mom!"?

It's a great movie. Best of the series.

Not sure what the hubbub is all about. He does a slow DDT with his uninjured arm, and gets up right away. I would be more worried about him falling over while he is" dancing". That is all I see from the video.

Ramirez's head gear would make a nice N.E. logo.....heh

If I recall correctly, the Kurgan called Ramirez "an effete snob." (Damn, I'm good. )

perfect!!!..they already calls us that from coast to coast anyway....

If fans were aware of half the stuff Gronk does when the cameras aren't around, they'd probably want him in a straight jacket for the off season. Some people are just reckless crazies. If that's removed from Gronk's equation he might become just another TE. To quote The Kurgan, "It's better to burn out than fade away!"

So, you're saying you want Gronk to play the Kurgan in a Highlander remake? I'm not going to argue with that.

I don't have an issue with him doing what he does as long as he doesn't hurt himself. In this case, the least he could have done was skipped this nonsense until he's out of the cast - although you have to wonder if the cast potentially saved him from breaking it for yet a 3rd time

Deus usually explains how to access it but since so many have put him on Ignore and can't see it I'll tell you to go to User CP above and you'll find it.

If I had any shred of human feeling or compassion, your post would have wounded me to the core.

Wounded!, I say.

Too bad hockey's back...I coulda done a joke about how the cup cop is out of a job right now.

It's just Gronk being Gronk.

:bricks:

yes....because he plays in a way that increases the chances of injury....tries for an extra yard like few others, lands on his head in the end zone, etc.....he is who is is both on and off the field......

in terms of front office concern, I believe what he can and can't do would be stipulated in his contract.

If you don't think that the organization itself tends to hold their players to a higher standard altogether (which isn't even the point) then I'm not sure what to tell you.

The fact remains now that this is the 2nd time in a year that he has been injured enough to effect the team negatively in the biggest stage of the season, yet he's managed to wrestle with an arm broken in 2 places, and also made the all intelligent decision of running up the wrong way escalator backwards on a broken ankle.

If that doesn't warrant concern from the front office in protecting their new multi-million dollar investment than I'm not sure what would.

He has the rare opportunity to make millions of dollars at the age of 23, but he also needs to show respect to his employers by putting the team first above brilliant decisions like wrestling with a broken arm.

It's idiotic.

The other thing that pissed me off about Gronk, which really pissed me off, was that Gronk watched thr Ravens game from Krafts booth. What disrespect to the whole team. How Bill let him do that is BEYOND me. BEYOND. That should NEVER have happened.

Huh? The reason he wasn't playing is that he made a routinely-dangerous athletic play and it backfired. If I made that kind of leaping tumbling catch, at Gronk height and speed -- not that I could -- I might get injured too.

Edit: Oh, I may have misunderstood what it is you misunderstood.

I think what Gronk lacks is a good woman to slow his juvenile act down.

The old saying goes...behind every successful man lies a woman.

He needs just one good one,not three hundred.

Someone has to tell him to stop messing around, partying, etc. He's not a kid anymore, and he should grow up. His party mentality is childish and i was hoping he got rid of it in college. Some of these kids never grow up. Hopefully there's a leader in the patriots orginization that can be a mentor to him. Otherwise, if i was bill, i would sit him for a game.

He's 23.................."he's not a kid anymore".

It's Patriot/Belichick policy that the players who are significantly injured in those situations stay home on gameday altogether.

I don't think we're in any position to question the policies of one of the greatest coaches of all time.

He may very well feel that it's an unnecessary hardship as far as the injury situation to go through all of the trouble of coming to the games, as opposed to healing and resting.

I've even seen it spun as a "punishment" for not being available to play. I recall that coming up, and seeming implausibly harsh, when Faulk was inactive Game 1 after doing a terrific job in practice portraying Kordell Stewart.

now...as far as a Gronk chaperone goes....I VOLUNTEER!!....wha?...why are you people looking at me like that?...I'll keep my eye on the big lug...it'll be hard keeping all that young female flesh from being pressed up against him but I sure will try my dyam best to get between him and temptation!

When it comes to repelling women, your talents are legendary.
