Gronk is now a FOX NFL analyst

At halftime he's going to rip open his shirt Superman style and all of a sudden be in full Patriots uniform for the 2nd half.

He actually has a HUGE advantage over Witten.

Gronk has the public persona as a partying meathead so everyone will expect very little. If he actually does say something intelligent or is at least entertaining people will take notice and appreciate it.

With Witten everyone expected him to come in an be Tony Romo 2.0 so he was setup to fail. (I'm not saying he was any good. Just saying he came in with high expectations)

Lol at everyone thinking he was coming back to "save"the offense

Hell yeah, go Gronk. I'll support him in pretty much anything he does. I don't expect him to be a very good analyst, but it would be funny and out of nowhere if he turns out to be awesome at it.

Surely be an unpopular take, but I’ve always loved the on-the-field Gronk MUCH more than the persona. I get that his teammates seemed to love him and I get that he brings excitement. But, I can’t get behind the whole ridiculous fun-guy Gronk. I hope he brings knowledge and not spikes and references to a certain number in close proximity to seventy.

I look forward to Gronk's...

This is probably how he got his 12th through 20 concussions!

...analysis?

I actually fear he won't be that good at this role frankly.

But that might make him more likely to join us for the stretch run.

He's going to be so awkward and uncomfortable lol. Sad I hoped he'd return. Our current tight ends are trash.

He can’t do much worse than what they’re trotting out at Fox every week.

Jason Witten did some on air tv gig and suited back up. Bronk might too...hopefully.

This big time went over my head until somebody pointed it out. Was thinking Tony Gonzalez may have done this in his last year in Atlanta lol.
11:28 am and already hitting the sauce. Nicccee.

First football analyst question to Gronkowski from his Fox Broadcasting co-team: "Rob, it seems your former team has a historically good defense. And with the addition of a great TE it would appear they'd almost cruise into an NFL record setting SB victory solidifying this team as the greatest of all time, and you as the greatest TE of all time. So with that in mind, what's your thoughts on today's Dolphins vs Redskins matchup, you looking for big things out of Colt McCoy?"

I'm thinking something like this:

He's going to be so awkward and uncomfortable lol.
I actually think he has potential to be an outstanding and still entertaining analyst in that capacity. He is comfortable in front of the camera and a well spoken guy who should have plenty of insight as long as he isn’t playing up the “meathead Gronk” persona.

I agree, one can be smart and goofy at the same time, and Gronk picked up the Pats offense faster than any rookie I can think of, I've always thought that his football smarts were through the roof. I bet he will be able to combine excitability for the game with knowledge in a similar way that Tony Romo has (I'm not saying he will as good, that remains to be seen).
Romo's role is very different from what Gronk will be doing. Unless I missed something, he won't be doing any live games - which would either go really bad, or really well.
