Yep, just saw this:
Rob Gronkowski to serve as football analyst for FOX
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OT - OMG! I can't believe I actually got to start a legit thread! I tried starting what I thought were funny threads in the past, but they got canned immediately
I look forward to Gronk's...
This is probably how he got his 12th through 20 concussions!
...analysis?
Sorry, 35 posts too late.
11:28 am and already hitting the sauce. Nicccee. This big time went over my head until somebody pointed it out. Was thinking Tony Gonzalez may have done this in his last year in Atlanta lol.
I cannot wait to watch.
Bradshaw and Gronk....together.
God help us
I actually think he has potential to be an outstanding and still entertaining analyst in that capacity. He is comfortable in front of the camera and a well spoken guy who should have plenty of insight as long as he isn’t playing up the “meathead Gronk” persona. He's going to be so awkward and uncomfortable lol.
Romo's role is very different from what Gronk will be doing. Unless I missed something, he won't be doing any live games - which would either go really bad, or really well.I agree, one can be smart and goofy at the same time, and Gronk picked up the Pats offense faster than any rookie I can think of, I've always thought that his football smarts were through the roof. I bet he will be able to combine excitability for the game with knowledge in a similar way that Tony Romo has (I'm not saying he will as good, that remains to be seen).
