On the field Gronk and on the field Brady won’t be topped. Those guys meant business and got things accomplished. Focused, talented, driven.

But I betcha off the field Drake is a lot better to hang with. Seems more understated.

Maye has (1) been excellent in the media vis-à-vis his teammates, even in the crappy 2024 season (2) improved steadily (3) produced (4) exceeded all my year two expectations. Hell, if you’d told me last year this current play was going to be his peak, I think I’d have taken it. Now ? Seems like ascending is in the cards.

I don't generally watch the pre game stuff so I didn't know this existed, glad I found it.

I think that will be the key to Drake's success. Don't try to be the next Tom Brady, be the first Drake Maye.

The Brady/Gronk connection was amazing to watch, right down to Gronk’s last great play as a Patriot, then his return to Tom with Tampa. Almost unstoppable when both were healthy. Brady with those perfect throws and Gronk getting open all the time and catching with those massive mitts. Brady to Moss was amazing, but Brady to Gronk was the alltime best Patriot’s connection ever. I’m glad Maye got to experience their great friendship. Now I’m imagining Maye having a Gronk type at TE, love Henry & Hooper, but I’m talking a truly explosive TE playing with Maye.
