Ouch first no Boyce, now no Edelman, no Armstead, and Ballard is limping around like the walking wounded. Not hitting panic button yet but eyeing it. LOL
In all fairness to Ballard--the reports have been mixed so far, and the negative ones may be slightly biased considering the fact that he hasn't practiced or played in a long, long time. On top of that he isn't exactly known for his speed either, so until the local mediots are familiar with him and his style they may have provided a somewhat biased report from last month.
We won't really know the whole deal for another week or two, but the fact that he was taking part in something last month leads me to believe that he's going to come back sooner rather than later. Even if he actually starts the year on PUP, it'll be good to have him here when the season heats up.
In the meantime, I can appreciate your concern and I share it too on a lessened level regarding the TE health. I think we'll feel better when we hear some good news re: Gronkowski.
That's a good point, Joker. Most of these names we were expecting, so it's more than likely just Belichick playing it safe and handling their injuries properly.
No reason to push a recovering player to the brink in the hot sun of training camp, at least not yet.
Another aspect that we'll have to get used to is seeing names on the injury report, so we may as well dive in head first right off the bat. Hopefully there is adequate depth there this year.
