I’ve seen this done for other teams on Twitter, but not the Patriots so throwing this out there. These aren’t the only names for each category but I’ll start.

Loved by fans:
Brady (great)
Law Firm (average)
Cam in 2020 (bad).

Fans were divided on these guys:
Bledsoe (great)
Myles Bryant (average)
Canty (bad).

Hated by fans:
***ante (great)
Juju (average)
Cassius Marsh (bad).

I guess Mac Jones sans his rookie season could go in the divided/bad category. Ditto for Zappe

James White could be there with Law Firm but after SB51 and his role in winning it is that really “average”?

Gronk (loved/great)
Edelman (loved/great)
K Faulk (loved/average)
Chris Hogan (loved/average)
Amendola (divided/great)
Antowain Smith (loved/average)
Troy Brown (loved/great)
Ty Law (loved/great)
Jalen Mills (Divided/average)
Terry Glenn (divided/great)
Otis Smith (loved/average)
Cyrus the Virus Jones (hated/bad)
N’Keal Harry (hated/bad)
Devante Parker (divided/average)
Chris Slade (divided/great)

You just keep my man Sweet Feet's name out your mouth

A controversial one here:
The long snapper as a dedicated position (great/hated)

That never made much sense to me either - waste of a roster spot. Is it not possible to teach the 3rd string center how to do this? The long snapper maybe gets in on less than a dozen plays/game...

If they could, they would. It is a highly specialized skill, leaving very little time to learn another position.

Finding bad players who are loved is super rare. Closest I can think of recently is Brandon Bolden. He was pretty much always one of the last players dressed a game. But he fit in his role, did his job. Really embodied the Patriot way. He occasionally flashed for a good play or game where he played a very solid role when injuries happened to others.

He was often mentioned as an up gradable piece during the off season but once that was behind him fans bought in with the perennial final keeper. And for all the talk of what he did on Special Teams, let's face it; he wasn't great there either. Just filled a lot of roles at an acceptable level and was a team oriented guy

Blount isn’t hated by the fan base?

average player most loved-Mosi

Mosi is in a class of his own, he became 'a great' in the eyes of fans because he was so loved by them

Crable (loved, bad)
Seward (divided, great)
Ventrone (loved, bad)

Max Lane (average/divided). I don’t fault him as much for SB 31 he was set up to fail.
