I have it a C. I think they are all decent prospects, but they passed up a lot of really good prospects by trading down. I LOVE the fact that they drafted TWO TEs, been begging for that all offseason. BUT did they pick the correct ones ?

Asiasi is the Gronk replacement due to his ability to get vertical. I have no complaints about him. I know a lot of guys here on this board liked him a lot. My only downside on him is he’s only 6’3”. But he’s heavy, Pats are listing him at 279 pounds.

I like Dalton Keene, but I don’t know if I like trading up for him in the 3rd or like him more than Adam Trautman who they passed up. That being said, if you watch Asiasi and Keene on film, the eye test says Asiasi is the better TE, more talented. But I was shocked to find out, that Keene had better combine numbers. Better 40, better 3 cone, better everything, even taller at 6’4” and he’s 255.

Dugger is a really intriguing pick. The commentators at the Senior Bowl seemed to love him, a lot of high praise. You have to love the measurables, 6’1” 215, ran a 4.49,

Lol the answers are secret but the 1 person who voted F is anything but. Although we know the captain would have voted f if he just woke up from a 3 day sleep and didn’t even know who we drafted

The picks filled important needs.
Dugger is the prototype of a guy bb has been looking for for 10 years.
The edge/de/lb guys help replace kvn and Collins along with winovich, bentkey and Copeland. Our base d is 2 DTs and whatever combination of guys labeled lb de or both that bb feels is the best matchup.
We now have
Hightower
Bentley
Uche
Winovich
Simon
Jennings
Copeland
Calhoun
Wise
for those 4 spots which makes a talented and deep group that bb can be creative with.

we desperately needed TEs. No matter what they both are good blockers and can help at least in a rudimentary way in the passing game, including Keene being a very good screen receiver which is a new concept we can add.

We added 5 players who all fill need, all have versatility and have skill sets that closely match our scheme

don’t know what’s not to like.

He is a JAG who likely peaked in the 2018-2019 season. Doesn’t catch passes, mostly gets stuffed or dropped for losses. We can find another RB as good as or better next off season. Regardless he had an entire season to prove that’s not the case but I’m skeptical.

Michel is not a JAG. He carried the Patriots to a title in 18 and did well enough in 19 considering his OL was mix and match all year and the passing offense wasn’t taken seriously by other teams and rightfully so. Hard for any back to put up huge numbers when his first contact is at the LOS. Let’s see what he does this year with a healthy OL and a run focused offense. I think we will be pleasantly surprised.

And it’s one thing to say he can’t catch passes but he “doesn’t catch passes” doesn’t mean he can’t. The team already has White to do that anyway and he is really good.

I see Jennings as being more of an inside backer with the ability to be a run stuffer in the same vein as HT. Would that be a safe assumption? He looks to be strong and sturdy.
I hope I am wrong, but he looks more lethargic than HT. Before HT kept having knee injuries etc he was never really abused by running backs etc despite the fact he looked somewhere around 270lb. Jennings looks like he would be absolutely destroyed on an option route by someone like James White.

This draft as a whole looks better than some of our past ones.
