The site has Drew Brees #2, Peyton #3, and Marino #4.

    Sorry, can't buy in.

Aside from Brees I'm not that upset about it.

My top 5 has almost always been 1. Brady, 2. Montana, 3. Manning, 4. Unitas, 5. Marino

I can’t bring myself to put Marino up there because he was awful in the post season.
If you ever have a chance look up his numbers in the last game of the season (playoff loss or elimination if they didn’t make it). They are horrific.
People want to act as if he was gipped by never winning a ring but the fact is most often he was the reason he never winning.

People credit him for “carrying the team” but where did he carry them? When the chips were on the line and they put the game in his hands he just didn’t get it done.

Meaningless game in October he could be the GOAT. Playoff game, his actual play puts him
outside somewhere near the top 50.

I'd be ok with Staubach getting more top 5 love.

It's 1) Brady 2) Montana and then everything else is ehhhhhhhhh whatever.

Peyton's historical significance decreases every year. Outside of Colts stans everyone's opinion of him seems diminished just since his retirement. By the end of the year he might not even have any volume passing records left to hang his hat on.

Same, I think he gets lost in the shuffle because he played almost entirely in the NFL's version of the dead ball era, so his raw numbers don't look great from a modern perspective. But compared to his peers his efficiency was insane. Like if Aaron Rodgers was actually clutch, basically.

Same reason Sports Illustrated called Manning “Mr. October”. Too bad for Manning this isn’t baseball.

I did a all-time QB comparison and it the analysis was driven by contemporary peer comparisons. Staubach is a top five lock in that analysis. And he was a playoff stud.
